Rosh chodesh sameach! The new moon was witnessed from Israel at evening, 16 June 2026/5786. This moon marks the fifth Hebrew month, according to the Torah Calendar. Witnesses are as follow:

7:48pm, the Zebulun Valley, Yoel Halevi
7:55pm, Katzrin, Ariella and Ben Casey
8:08pm, Kfar Chasidim, Ephraim Amnon

The new moon of the sixth Hebrew month is expected to be visible from Israel on 15 July. Confirmation will be made upon the sighting of the new moon (or the 30-day default count).

1c. Feasts 5785-6 / 2026

19 February 5786/2026 was Rosh HaShanah. Dates for the 7th month feasts are ‘expected dates’ only, and could change by a day or two depending on the new moon confirmation. Dates will be confirmed upon the start of the 7th month.

• Rosh HaShanah was 19 February (starting the evening prior). 
• Shavuot is 26 April.
• ‘Expected dates’ for the feast of the seventh Hebrew months are below. (Please remember 7th month feast dates are not finalized until the start of the seventh Hebrew month is officially confirmed.)
