“The People of The Book.” Some Orthodox rabbis believe that the complex prophecies of the Tanakh have already been fulfilled, leading them not to study them. The houses of Judah and Joseph must base themselves on the Tanakh so that there can be unification, the only fundamental covenant they have in common.
