Yoel Halevi has confirmed the report from two individuals who saw the new moon from Jerusalem by naked eye. Therefore, the new month begins this evening, 12 September 2026/5787. According to the Torah (Firstfruits) Calendar, this moon begins the 8th Hebrew month. Rosh Chodesh sameach!
