In this chapter of the Revelation Simplified video series we explain that, in-between Trumpet 7 (Revelation chapter 11) and the Cup Judgments (Revelation chapter 15), there are three informational (“inset”) chapters (Revelation chapter 12, 13, and 14).
In this video, we will explain how Revelation chapter 14 describes three end time harvests which likely take place in between Trumpet 7 and the Cups. Join us to find out more about these three end time harvests. You can also read the book study Revelation and the Endtimes which is available for free on the Nazarene Israel website, and also available for purchase (at production price) on Kindle and Amazon at the non-profit.
End times timeline review
We will begin with a brief review the revelation timeline, and also the parable of the pregnant bride and how that applies to the end times timeline. The book is available for free on the Nazarene Israel website, as well as available on Kindle and Amazon at the non-profit, production price.
3 harvests
In this video on Revelation chapter 14, we will see that there are 3 end time harvests. We will explain each of these harvests and how these 3 end time harvests relate with Yahweh’s feasts.
1. The harvest of the Firstfruits (144,000, who are sealed before seal 7).
2. The grain harvests (Wave Sheaf of barley/Firstruits of wheat).
3. The grape harvest (to fill the cups of wrath).
Before the throne
We will show where the 144,000, who were redeemed from the earth, are during the Revelation chapter 14 prophecy.
Hitgalut (Revelation) 14:1-2
1 Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps.Hitgalut (Revelation) 14:3-4
3 They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to Elohim and to the Lamb.
Babylon: a city or a system?
We will cover the different interpretations of the term ‘Babylon’ given in the Textus Receptus and Nestle Aland 27, and what that means for Revelation 14 verse 8.
Hitgalut (Revelation) 14:8
8 And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
We will explain how the ‘mark of the beast’ is essentially allegiance to the Babylonian beast system. And how when we serve Yahweh in everything we do, that is having allegiance to Yahweh. And likewise, those who serve the beast system are essentially ‘receiving the mark of the beast’. There may be physical manifestations, but it is who we serve physically and spiritually that marks us as either Yahweh’s people, or as worshipping the beast.
Hitgalut (Revelation 14: 9-10
9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand,
10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of Elohim, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
End time harvests
Finally, we will discuss the reaping of the harvests described in Revelation chapter 14, verses 14-20, and where Yeshua warns Yahweh’s people about where not to be during this time. At this time, Yahweh will already know who is His, and who is chaff.
Hitgalut (Revelation) 14:14-15
14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.”Hitgalut (Revelation) 14:16-17
16 So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.
17 Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.Hitgalut (Revelation) 14:18-20
18 And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.”
19 So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of Elohim.
20 And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses’ bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs.
Whatever part of the harvest each of us are part of, and whether or not we remain as part of the remnant upon earth, the important thing to remember is to be found right in Yahweh at all times. So that whatever time we have on earth, our lives may be preserved in Him always.
