Selecting Elders Part 2

In Selecting Elders Part 2, we want to talk about what the selection requirements are that the apostolic priesthood must follow when they are selecting righteous elders, and when they are excluding elders who are not meeting the standards. But before we continue, we want to do a brief recap of Selecting Elders Part 1. And if you have not done so yet, we encourage you to listen to “Selecting Elders Part 1” before continuing to Selecting Elders Part 2. Below is a brief review of part 1.

Review

In “Selecting Elders, Part 1”, we talked about what kind of righteous elders we need to have leading our congregations and what kind of elders we need to avoid having in our congregations in order to build Yeshua’s one true global, unified ministry (kingdom). Because Yeshua expects all of His ministers to work together to build him a single, unified ministry worldwide. We saw that righteous elders are one of the primary keys of building Yeshua’s kingdom. And that is because, while the priesthood has the job of stitching all the congregations and all the various ministries together globally, really, it is the congregational elders who build those congregations.

And if we are willing to receive it, the congregation is where a lot of the real evangelization and most of the true pastoring and spiritual growth take place. Because congregational elders are the ones who teach the people how to walk out the Five-Fold Ministry, which is what keeps the ministry continuing in edification and brotherly love. This is a very important function, it cannot be done without the elders. Without the congregational elders there is nothing for the priesthood to join together.

“He who does not gather with me.”

In Selecting Elders Part 2, we will talk about how Scripture says that “He who does not gather with me scatters abroad”. We will discuss what this verse means, why this verse is a warning for all ministerial leaders, and why leadership is ulitmately responsible for the direction they lead the flock.

Mattityahu (Matthew) 12:30
30 “He who is not with Me is against Me,
and he who does not gather with Me
scatters abroad.”

Selecting Elders part 2

We will talk about what it means to build the one, true, global kingdom of Yeshua, and what that means for actually fulling the Great Commission that Yeshua gave His disiciples. We will talk about the true definition of discipleship and why the Great Commission is only fulfilled when we build Yeshua’s kingdom in the original faith that He gave us. And we will reveal that the majority of ministries today (knowingly or unknowingly) are actually building their own kingdoms, rather than Yeshua’s global, unified kingdom founded on the five-fold ministry. We will emphasize why it is so crucially important to contend only for the original first-century faith given by Yeshua and His disciples.

Yehudah (Jude) 1:3
3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

The Great Commission involves true discipleship

We will talk about why congregational leaders are responsible for implementing scripturally edifying discipline in order to fulfill the Great Commission of making disciples of the true, original faith. And why this all begins by the priesthood selecting qualified leadership who will lead by example.

Further, we will discuss why the five-fold ministry is significant to building Yeshua’s global, unified kingdom, and why apostles are still necessary for the body of Yeshua today.

If you are a leader of a congregation, these are very important things to know about how to lead your flock. And if you are an attendee in a congregation, things are things you should know for selecting which congregation is right for you and your loved ones. Please join us for Selecting Elders Part 2.
