Parasha B’shelach

Beshalach, Beshallach, or Beshalah (בְּשַׁלַּח‎—Hebrew for “when [he] let go” (literally: “in (having) sent).

Parasha B'shalach, in Exodus, depicts the Israelites' departure from Egypt after the miraculous parting of the Red Sea. Led by Moshe, they sing the triumphant Song of the Sea, celebrating their deliverance. Elohim provides manna and quail in the wilderness, illustrating divine sustenance. The people face challenges, including the lack of water at Marah, and Elohim reveals the statute of Shabbat. B'shalach underscores themes of faith, gratitude, and the transformative power of liberation. The Parasha captures the beginning of the Israelites' journey through the wilderness, emphasizing their dependence on Elohim and the foundational experiences shaping their covenantal relationship.
