Shalom and welcome to Nazarene Israel, or the Min HaNetzerim. My name is Norman Willis, and in this first video, I want to show you two rock solid mathematical and logical proofs that Mashiach has already come!

And you do not need faith in anything other than the TNK (or the Older Covenant)! That is, if you believe the words of Yahweh Elohim (or “The Lord God”) in the TNK (or the “Older Testament”), then you should see two witnesses that Mashiach has already come!

So, let’s jump right in.

Mashiach Proof Number #1:
Daniel 9:25-26

Our first proof is Daniel 9:25-26
In Daniel chapter 9, starting in verse 1, we see that in the first year of King Darius of the Persian Empire, Daniel had read the prophecies of Jeremiah (for example, Jeremiah 25:11-12), and he understood by those books that Yahweh would cause Judah (or the Jews) to go into the Exile to Babylon for 70 years for failure to obey the Torah of Moshe (or the Law of Moses).

Daniel 9:1Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)

(1)

However, in Jeremiah 29:10, Yahweh also prophesied through Jeremiah that at the end of those 70 years, Yahweh would bring the house of Judah back to the land of Israel.

Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 29:10Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
יִרְמְיָהוּ
(10)

So now coming back to Daniel, in Daniel 9:3, Daniel set his face toward Yahweh Elohim to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes, that their people might come home.

Daniel 9:3Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
דָּנִיֵּאל
(3)

So now let us drop down 20 verses, to Daniel 9:23, and we see that Yahweh sent the Messenger (or the Archangel) Gabriel in response to Daniel’s prayer, and he delivers an amazing message.

In verse 23 Gabriel says, “At the beginning of your supplications the command [from Elohim] went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore, consider the matter, and understand the vision (so we need to consider and understand).

Daniel 9:23

Daniel 9:24
24 “Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your set-apart city [Jerusalem],
“To finish the transgression,
“To make an end of sins,
“To make reconciliation for iniquity,
“To bring in everlasting righteousness,
“To seal up vision and prophecy,
“And to anoint the Most Set-apart.

(24)

Daniel 9:25
25 “Know therefore, and understand,
“That from the going forth of the command
“To restore and rebuild Jerusalem
“Until Mashiach Nagid [or Messiah the Prince],
“There shall be seven weeks [of years] plus sixty-two weeks [of years—
[and we will do the math in a moment];
“The street[s of Jerusalem] shall be built again, and the wall [let us not forget the wall!], Even in troublesome times.

Daniel 9:26
26 “And after the sixty-two weeks [of years]
Mashiach shall be cut off, but not for Himself [meaning not for His own sins];
“And then the people of the prince who is to come [who was the Roman General Titus]
“Shall then destroy the city and the sanctuary…”
Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
דָּנִיֵּאל
(26)

And historically, the Roman General Titus came and destroyed the city of Jerusalem and the Second Temple in 3830, or 70 CE.

So, now, to calculate the arrival of Mashiach Nagid, the first step is to do some easy math.

Verse 25 says that Mashiach Nagid would arrive after 7 weeks of years plus 62 weeks of years. A “week” in Hebrew is a “shevua”, which can refer to a set of 7—and in this case, it refers to a set of 7 years. So, simple math:

  • 7 “weeks” of 7 years each is 7×7, or 49 years of delay.
  • Now we add the additional 62 “weeks” of 7 years each, which 62 x 7, or 434 additional years of delay.
  • Then we simply add the 49 years plus the 434 years together, and we get 483 years of delay after the decree (until Mashiach Nagid would come).

What this says is that Mashiach Nagid (or Messiah the Prince) would arrive some 483 years after the command was given to restore and rebuild Jerusalem.

Now all we need is to find out when the command was given to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, and then simply add the 483 years of delay, and that will tell us when Mashiach Nagid was supposed to arrive!

Simple! It is all easy math, but there are two details!

Mashiach Nagid and 3 commands to restore and rebuild Jerusalem

The first detail is that there were actually three different commands to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, so we need to figure out which one starts the count!

Option #1: Mashiach timing and the King Koresh (King Cyrus)

The first command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem was given by King Koresh (or King Cyrus in most English versions). If we go to the Ezra 1:1, it talks about the decree that King Koresh of Persia gave, letting the house of Judah go home. This decree technically ended the Babylonian Captivity and opened the Second Temple Period.

Verse 1 says, “Now in the first year of Koresh the king of Persia, that the word of Yahweh by the mouth of [the prophet] Jeremiah might be fulfilled, Yahweh stirred up the spirit of Koresh the king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,

Ezra 1:1Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
עֶזְרָא
(1)

Verse 2 Thus says Koresh the king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth Yahweh Elohim of heaven has given to me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in the territory of [the southern house of] Judah.”

Ezra 1:2Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
עֶזְרָא
(2)

So, you would think that the 483-year count would begin here—and Orthodox Judah does teach (incorrectly) that the count begins here. And it is very easy to see why Orthodox Judah would teach that this is the start of the 483-year count.

But there are two BIG problems.

Why King Cyrus’ (Koresh’s) command does not fulfill the prophecy

Problem #1: the wall was not rebuilt
The first problem is that one of the requirements of Daniel 9:25 is for the wall to be rebuilt—and the wall was not rebuilt then.

Daniel 9:25
25 “Know therefore, and understand,
“That from the going forth of the command
“To restore and rebuild Jerusalem
“Until Mashiach Nagid [or Messiah the Prince],
“There shall be seven weeks [of years] plus sixty-two weeks [of years—
[and we will do the math in a moment];
“The street[s of Jerusalem] shall be built again, and the wall [let us not forget the wall!], Even in troublesome times.

Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
דָּנִיֵּאל
(25)

Problem #2: No Mashiach Nagid figure arrived
The second problem is that there was no Mashiach Nagid figure who arrived 483 years later. So as much as we might want to make this the starting point, it does not qualify, because it does not match the prophecy!

To analyze the details, scholars believe King Koresh conquered Babylon around 3221 (or around 539 BCE). Then he gave his proclamation to restore and rebuild Jerusalem about a year later, they think around 3222 (or 538 BCE).

If you hypothetically start with 3222 and then add the prophesied 483 years of delay, you get a hypothetical arrival date for Mashiach Nagid of around 3705 (or 55 BCE)—but again, the problem is, no one came then in the Mashiach role! There is no Mashiach Nagid figure who arrived in 3705–so that does not work!

And as we mentioned before, it also fails because the wall was not rebuilt then (and the wall is a requirement)!

Orthodox Judah downplays and invalidates the prophetic requirements

To be respectful, when I ask Orthodox rabbis about these details, they can never answer these points! I have never received a straight answer from an Orthodox rabbi on this (and quite frankly, as well-intentioned as anyone might be, it is not possible to answer this because the math is wrong!)!

And I want to be respectful, but what they do instead is, they have to downplay the importance of this prophecy! (So, to put it in plain language, they have to “pooh-pooh” it, because they do not like it!)

For example, one Orthodox rabbi who advises the Sanhedrin told me, “You know, prophecies are just opinions! So, Daniel had an opinion, and I have an opinion! So, I do not need to agree with Daniel here, because that is just his opinion!”)
(Yahweh forbid!)

Now, in another place we will talk about how Catholics and other Esavite (Red Horse) Christians also believe the prophecies are basically unimportant! However, to White Horse Nazarenes, or to anyone who believes the TNK, that kind of talk is shocking!

For example, In Galatians 2:7-8, we are told that Shaliach Kepha was primarily an apostle to the circumcised, which is a euphemism for Judah. And in Kepha Bet (or 2 Peter) 1:20-21, Kepha tells us to know first and foremost that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,

Galatians 2:7-8
7 But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Kepha
8  (for He who worked effectively in Kepha for the apostleship to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles),

Kepha Bet (2 Peter) 1:21
21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but rather, set-apart men of Elohim spoke as they were moved by the Set-apart Spirit (or the Ruach HaQodesh).

So, the idea in the TNK and in the Brit Chadasha (or the Renewed Covenant) is that when a real prophet of Yahweh speaks, he is not speaking his own words! He is not speaking from his own opinion! Rather, he is delivering a message from Yahweh ([or for Yahweh]—and that is exactly how Daniel chapter 9 reads!)

Both Daniel 9:23 and Daniel 9:25 tell us very clearly that the heavenly messenger Gabriel was sent (ostensibly by Elohim) to deliver this message to Daniel!—and that we are supposed to know and understand what this message is, because it deals with the arrival date of Mashiach Nagid, who was to show us how to live the Torah!)

Daniel 9:23
23 “At the beginning of your supplications the command [from Elohim] went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore, consider the matter, and understand the vision
Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
דָּנִיֵּאל
(23)
Daniel 9:25
25 “Know therefore, and understand,
“That from the going forth of the command
“To restore and rebuild Jerusalem
“Until Mashiach Nagid [or Messiah the Prince],
“There shall be seven weeks [of years] plus sixty-two weeks [of years—
[and we will do the math in a moment];
“The street[s of Jerusalem] shall be built again, and the wall [let us not forget the wall!], Even in troublesome times.
Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
דָּנִיֵּאל
(25)

We were all supposed to pay attention to this prophecy, and understand it, so that we could recognize Mashiach Nagid when He showed up!

We want to be respectful, but you cannot call yourself a servant of Yahweh, and ignore the words of Yahweh in the TNK! That does not compute! If you are truly a servant of Yahweh, you have to obey His words, whether they are given in person, or through His messengers (like Gabriel), or through the mouths of His prophets (like Moshe or Jeremiah or Daniel)!

Option #2: Mashiach timing and King Darius

Ok, so then coming back to the timeline, if King Koresh’s decree in Ezra is not the start of the 483-year count, then what is? We have two more options.

For option number #2, if we start in Ezra 5:3, we learn that although King Koresh had commanded to let Judah restore and rebuild the temple, the local governor Tattenai had hindered the work, so the temple did not get finished under King Koresh!

Ezra 5:3Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
עֶזְרָא
(3)

And when this matter was brought to the succeeding King Darius’ attention, King Darius then gave a second decree around 3240 (or 520 BCE), that King Koresh’s original decree should be respected and carried out!

Problem #1: The walls were not finished

We can read all about that in Ezra chapters 5 and 6, but the net upshot is that the people were allowed to finish rebuilding the TEMPLE. However, the walls were not finished at that time!

Problem #2: No Mashiach Nagid figure arrived

Further (again), if we start the 483-year count at the time of the second decree in 3240, we arrive at 3723 (or about 37 BCE)— and it’s the same problem! There was no Mashiach Nagid figure who arrived in 3723! Mashiach Nagid did not come then! (So, King Darius’ decree does not meet the requirements either!)

Option #3 Mashiach timing and King Artashasta (King Artaxerxes)

Now, the third and final option is the decree that was given by King Artashasta (or King Artaxerxes the 1st in many English versions)!

King Artashasta gave his decree around 3303 (or 457 BCE). And although the Temple had already been rebuilt, King Artashasta’s decree of 3303 allowed the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s walls, as recorded in Nehemiah 2:8–and this finally fulfilled all of the requirements of Daniel 9:25!

Nehemiah 2:8Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)

Daniel 9:25
25 “Know therefore, and understand,

“The street[s of Jerusalem] shall be built again, and the wall [let us not forget the wall!], Even in troublesome times.

Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
דָּנִיֵּאל
(25)

And what is more, if you add the prophesied 483 years of delay to the start point of 3303, you get an arrival date for Mashiach Nagid of around 3786 (or 26 CE)—and that is the same year they believe Yeshua ben Yosef (or “Jesus the Son of Joseph”) began His ministry!

King Artashasta’s decree is the only option of the 3 that fulfills all of the requirements! And it is a perfect fit! If we start with the decree given by King Artashasta in 3303, all of the requirements are met!

  • (1) The walls of Jerusalem are rebuilt, and
  • (2) Mashiach Nagid arrives 483 years later!

Yeshua is the only one who came at the prophesied time for Mashiach Nagid

We should bear in mind that these are the only three possible options, because these are the only three commands that were given to restore and rebuild Jerusalem after the Exile to Babylon, but before the destruction of the Second Temple!

Daniel 9:26 and the destruction of the Temple

But someone will ask, “What about the destruction of the Second Temple?” Why is that important?”

Well, if we keep reading, the next verse (Daniel 9:26) tells us that not only would Jerusalem be rebuilt, but sadly, that it would also be destroyed a second time, after Mashiach Nagid had arrived, and was cut off (but not for Himself)!

Daniel 9:26
26 “And after the sixty-two weeks [of years]
Mashiach shall be cut off, but not for Himself [meaning not for His own sins];
“And then the people of the prince who is to come [who was the Roman General Titus]
“Shall then destroy the city and the sanctuary…”

Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
דָּנִיֵּאל
(26)

Now notice! Verse 26 tells us that after the 62 weeks, Mashiach Nagid would be cut off, but not for Himself (meaning not for His own sins)! And that is a perfect description of what happened to Yeshua ben Yosef according to Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22!

Daniel 9:26 also tells us that the people of the prince who was to come (who was the Roman general Titus) would destroy the city and the sanctuary—and that was exactly what happened in 3830 (or 70 CE).

What this says is that Mashiach Nagid had to come near the end of the second temple period, just before the city and the sanctuary were destroyed in 3830! That means that Mashiach Nagid cannot come today, because He had to come before the destruction of the Second Temple! That means the arrival of Mashiach Nagid cannot be a future event!

It can only be a past event, and there is only one man in all of history who meets all of the necessary qualifications, and who came at the right time! And that Man is Yeshua ben Yosef!

He came in 3786 (or 26 CE), right on time! And if we believe the TNK (or the Older Covenant) we do not need any particular leap of faith to believe Yeshua arrived as the Mashiach, because this is just math!

We just need to be humble enough to accept the prophecy that was delivered to Daniel by the Messenger Gabriel (and which ostensibly came from Yahweh Elohim in the first place)!

And that is it!
“Zeh-u!”

I want to be respectful about this, but just to say, I have never met a single Orthodox rabbi who can explain Daniel 9:25-26! All they can do is to try to downplay it, invalidate it, or explain it away! But it does not go away! It is the word of Yahweh Elohim in the TNK! You do not need to refute it, you just need to believe it, and obey it!
“V’zeh-u!”

Mashiach: Proof #2
The Portion of the Lawgiver Hidden in Gad

If Daniel 9:25-26 is not enough for us, we also have a logical proof! And this logical proof gets into the prophecies over the different tribes. And we will talk a lot more about the lost tribes in coming videos, but just briefly, Israel had 12 sons, who later fathered the 12 tribes of Israel!

Ten of those tribes got lost (and actually, parts of all 12)—and prophecy says that they will come back one day! So, who are they, and where are they now?

The scepter and the Portion of the Lawgiver:
Temporal law versus spiritual law

Judah was prophesied to become the kingship tribe—so Judah is very special! And normally a king holds a scepter (which is a symbol of his power).

Now, a king can also hold what is called the Portion of the Lawgiver (which refers to the right to establish not temporal law, but spiritual law, which in our context refers to Halacha, or doctrine)!

Some people consider that the Portion of the Lawgiver is at least as important as the scepter, because while the scepter gives you the right to lay down the temporal laws, and while the scepter speaks of power, money, and military authority, it is the Portion of the Lawgiver that speaks to the right to lay down the spiritual law and order! And those two things can go together—but they do not always—and in the case of the Two Houses (Judah and Joseph), they do not yet!

Whoever holds the scepter (or whoever is the hegemon, so to speak) controls the government and the army, and collects the taxes! However, the hegemon needs to realize that the whole reason Yahweh grants temporal power and authority in the first place is to enforce the correct spiritual laws!

In other words, the king’s rights are many, but the king’s responsibility is to ensure that the correct Halacha (or the correct Doctrine) is carried out! And in practical terms, that means the king needs to be listening to the prophet or the anointed judge that exists in those days, because the prophet (or the anointed judge) is the one listening to Elohim, and relating what he hears!

Until Shiloh (Mashiach) comes

Ok, so now let us come to B’reisheet (or Genesis) chapter 49, where our mutual forefather Israel is prophesying over the tribes! Notice then, that in B’reisheet 49:10, Israel tells us that his son Judah would have the scepter (referring to the kingship) until the day that a mysterious leader named Shiloh would come—and most commentators agree that Shiloh refers to Mashiach.

And it reads differently in different versions, but verse 10 tells us that: “The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes, and to him shall be the obedience of the people.”

B’reisheet (Genesis) 49:10Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
בְּרֵאשִׁית
(10)

This phrase, “nor a lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh comes” is
וּמְחֹקֵ֖ק מִבֵּ֣ין רַגְלָ֑יו עַ֚ד כִּֽי־יָבֹ֣א שִׁילֹ֔ה*

The key word here is וּמְחֹקֵ֖ק
Which refers to “the one who dispenses law.”

And for those who want to look it up in Strong’s Hebrew Concordance, the root of this word is Strong’s Hebrew 2710. חָקַק ḥâqaq; which is a primitive root, meaning (properly), “to hack” or “to engrave” a ruling. (Hopefully the right one!)

H2710. חָקַק (chaqaq, hack)
A primitive root; properly, to hack, i.e. Engrave (Judges 5:14, to be a scribe simply); by implication, to enact (laws being cut in stone or metal tablets in primitive times) or (gen.) Prescribe — appoint, decree, governor, grave, lawgiver, note, pourtray, print, set.
[Strong’s Hebrew Concordance]

And bear in mind, unjust rulers also give laws—but in a biblical context, the ideal is that an anointed judge (or a prophet, or someone who hears in the Spirit) would listen for Yahweh’s right-ruling, and then he would chisel or hack what he heard into stone!

Or he would have it hacked into stone—or perhaps even written down on a scroll, but one way or another he would hear Yahweh’s ruling, transmit it, and have it preserved! —and that is the key point! It does not come from him, it comes from Yahweh!

Moshe: a biblical lawgiver

And we could use Moshe (or Moses) as a good example of a biblical lawgiver. In Shemote (or Exodus) 18 starting in verse 19, Moshe’s father-in-law Yitro (or Jethro) told Moshe that he should stand before Elohim on behalf of the people, and bring the difficulties to Elohim, to hear His right-rulings.

Shemote (Exodus) 18:19
19
Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
שְׁמוֹת
(19)

Verse 20: And Moshe should then teach the people the statutes and the laws that Yahweh commanded and show them the way in which they must walk, and the work they must do.

Shemote (Exodus) 18:20Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
שְׁמוֹת
(20)

So, the point here is not for Moshe to make up his own rulings, but to listen to Yahweh in the Spirit, and to transmit Yahweh’s right-rulings to the people! (And then record them—or have them recorded!)

And if you want to read more about this, we have a study called, “Judges and Judicial Authority” on the Nazarene Israel website—but what we see in that study is that the Portion of the Lawgiver belongs to the one who is listening the best not to the opinions of men, but to Yahweh.

judges and judicial authority

And I am trying not to cross lines here, but we cannot really hold back on truth! Some Orthodox rabbis would argue that the Talmud is just such a compilation of Yahweh’s right-rulings—but if we will look at another prophecy (this time over the tribe of Gad), we will see why that is logically impossible.

The Portion of the Lawgiver hidden in Gad:
Devarim (Deuteronomy) 33:20-21 meaning

In Devarim (or Deuteronomy) 33 starting in verse 20, Moshe is prophesying over the tribes–and the Portion of the Lawgiver shows up again! Except this time, somehow, the Portion of the Lawgiver has been hidden in the military tribe of Gad!

Devarim (Deuteronomy) 33:20-21
20 And of Gad [Moshe] said: “Blessed is he who enlarges Gad; He dwells as a lion, [And] He shall tear off the arm, and also the crown.
21 He provided the best part for himself, Because the lawgiver’s portion was hidden there. He came with the heads of the people; He administered the justice of Yahweh, And His judgments with Israel.”
Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
דְּבָרִים
(20)

And I want you to look this up in your own Bible. And different translations read differently, but the part to focus in on is: “He provided the best part for himself, because the lawgiver’s portion was hidden (or reserved) there.”

וַיַּ֤רְא רֵאשִׁית֙ לֹ֔ו כִּי־שָׁ֛ם חֶלְקַ֥ת מְחֹקֵ֖ק סָפ֑וּן

And notice this word מְחֹקֵ֖ק
It has the same root that we saw just a moment ago in B’reisheet (Genesis) 49:10. Once again, it is Strong’s Hebrew 2710, חָקַק (ḥâqaq”).

And we hope to talk about the military tribe of Gad (and the lost tribes in general) in upcoming videos. If you want to read ahead, we have several studies on Gad on the Nazarene Israel website (just type “Gad” into the search bar)—and there are many more studies that I still need to get time to write.

However, what we need to ask ourselves here is, when was the portion of the lawgiver hidden in the tribe of Gad? We just read that in B’reisheet (or Genesis) 49:10, the portion of the lawgiver would not depart from Judah until Shiloh came! So, according to our mutual forefather Israel, the portion of the lawgiver would rest with the tribe of Judah until Shiloh came!

B’reisheet (Genesis) 49:10Hebrew Masoretic Text (MT)
בְּרֵאשִׁית
(10)

What we are going to see is that the portion of the lawgiver was hidden in the tribe of Gad when Shiloh came at the end of the Second Temple Era—because before then, the Portion of the Lawgiver was still with the ‘tribe’ of Judah (as opposed to the ‘House’ of Judah)!

And if we think about this, just the fact that we are told that the Portion of the Lawgiver would be hidden in the tribe of Gad means that the Orthodox interpretation of this passage is logically impossible.

The rabbinical explanation Deuteronomy 33:20-21 does not work

Respectfully consider:
Orthodox Judah tells us that the Portion of the Lawgiver has always been held by Judah and always will be held by Judah. That is because according to the Orthodox interpretation, the House of Judah will allegedly soon hand the portion of the lawgiver directly to Mashiach Shiloh when he comes.

However, under that hypothetical scenario, you have the House of Judah handing the portion of the lawgiver to a Jewish Mashiach in the future! But if Judah hands the Portion of the Lawgiver directly to Judah, then when will the Portion of the Lawgiver ever be hidden the tribe of Gad?

Contrary to what certain Orthodox rabbis have said, you cannot just ignore these prophecies, or you are breaking Scripture! (And in this case, you would be breaking the Torah, which is absolutely unlawful!)

Mattityahu (Matthew) 5:17-18 meaning

Now let’s pause for a moment and handle some objections. Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, and even many red-horse Protestants will argue that it is possible to break the Torah and still be in Yahweh’s favor (just like the serpent argued that it was possible to ignore Yahweh’s commandments in the Garden and still be in Yahweh’s favor)!

If you are one of those, I would remind you that Yeshua Himself tells us in His very first sermon, in Mattityahu (or Matthew) 5 starting in verse 17 not to think that He came to do away with any of the prophecies contained in the Law of Moshe, or in the Prophets, because these things came from His Father, and a good and obedient Son does not come to tell people to ignore His Father the King!

Mattityahu (Matthew) 5:17
17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
18  For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

Yeshua says plainly that until heaven and earth pass away, that nothing at all even can pass away from the Torah or the prophecies until everything written in the Torah has already been fulfilled! Heaven and earth are still here today, so logically, the Torah cannot have passed away!

And we always have antinomian Christians try to use their misunderstandings of Paul’s (or Shaul’s) words to try to explain away Yeshua’s words—(as if that even makes sense). It does not make sense to use a disciple’s words to explain away the words of his Master!

We do not have time to explain all of the many antinomian Christian misconceptions and assumptions here, but if you think you have a “Biblical reason” why Yeshua did come to do away with the Torah and the Prophets (in contradiction to His own words), ask yourself if you are trying to use Paul’s words to explain away Mashiach Yeshua’s words. And if you have to admit that you are using Paul to explain away Yeshua, then I would suggest that you misunderstand Paul!

And I would also encourage you to read the Nazarene Israel study, which will give you a sea change of understanding, from anti-Torah and anti-Judah, to being pro-Torah, and PRO-Judah! And if you read that study, you will know more about your Bible and the Messiah’s true purpose in coming than literally 99% of all Christians!

Nazarene Israel the Original Faith book

Deuteronomy 33:20-21 meaning:
Problems with Sotah 13b:20-22 explanation

And, for Orthodox Jews, it is a different set of objections altogether. If you ask your rabbi, he might tell you that Rashi and the Talmud tell us that the reason Moshe prophesied that the Portion of the Lawgiver would be hidden in Gad is that Moshe had already been told in Devarim (or Deuteronomy) 32:49-50 that he would die on Mount Nebo—and then be buried in the territory assigned to the tribe of Gad. But the explanation does not work!

(49)

In Talmud Tractate Sotah 13b and baraita (or entry) 20, the Talmud admits that Moshe died at Mount Nebo, and Mount Nebo is situated in the tribal allotment of Reuven, as it is written, “and the children of Reuven built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kiriathaim, and Nebo!”

And it is taught in a baraita that Rabbi Yehuda said: If not for an explicitly written verse, one could not say what is written with regard to the death and burial of Moses. Where did Moses die? In the portion of Reuben, as it is written: “And Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo” (Deuteronomy 34:1), and it is known from elsewhere that Nebo is situated in the portion of Reuben, as it is written: “And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kiriathaim, and Nebo” (Numbers 32:37–38).
[Talmud Tractate Sotah 13b:20]

And if we check Bemidbar (Numbers) 32:37-38, we will see that it is true—Mount Nebo did belong to Reuven!

NEXT, in baraita (or entry line) 22, Rabbi Yehudah tells us that Moshe must have been transported and then buried in the tribal portion of Gad, as it is written in the blessing of Moses to the tribe of Gad, “and he chose a first part for himself, for there a portion of a ruler (or a Lawgiver) was reserved.”

Rabbi Yehuda continues: And where is Moses buried? In the portion of Gad, as it is written in the blessing of Moses to the tribe of Gad: “And he chose a first part for himself, for there a portion of a ruler was reserved” (Deuteronomy 33:21), indicating that Moses, the ruler, is buried in the portion of Gad. And how much is the distance from the portion of Reuben to the portion of Gad? Four mil. Rabbi Yehuda asks: For those four mil from Mount Nebo in the portion of Reuben to the burial place of Moses in the portion of Gad, who transported him?
[Talmud Tractate Sotah 13b:22]

What Rabbi Yehudah is asserting is that although Moshe died on Mount Nebo in the territory of Reuven, his body was then allegedly carried to the tribal allotment of Gad, and was buried in a secret place. And while that is hypothetically possible, there is no evidence in the TNK to suggest that it happened that way—and this Talmudic assertion has a lot of other problems.

For example (in the first place), Moshe was never from the tribe of Judah! Rather, Moshe was from the tribe of Levi, as it says in Shemote (or Exodus) chapter 2!

Shemote (Exodus) 2:1
1 And a man of the house of Levi went and took as wife a daughter of Levi.

And if you have read the Nazarene Israel study (or if you understand about the Two Houses of Israel), then you know that the majority of the tribe of Levi was absorbed into the southern House of Judah after the kingdom split in the days of King Solomon’s son Rehavam—and that is why today the terms “Levi” and “Judah” are often conflated. That is why today the Levites are assumed to be Jews—because that is how the terms are used today (after the split in the United Monarchy).

The problem is, Levi and Judah were still separate tribes back in the days when the Torah was written! In the Pentateuch (or the first five books of Moses), all of the tribes were still treated as separate entities! The tribes were not yet even separated into Two Houses until the days of Joshua and Judges!

And in this context, notice that Moshe gave a different prophecy over the tribe of Judah in Devarim 33:7 than he gave over his own tribe of Levi (in Devarim 33:8)!

And both of those prophecies (over Judah and Levi) are different still than the prophecy Moshe gave over the tribe of Gad in verses 20-21!

Devarim (Deuteronomy) 33:20-21
20 And of Gad he said: “Blessed is he who enlarges Gad; He dwells as a lion, And tears the arm and the crown of his head.
21 He provided the first part for himself, Because a lawgiver’s portion was reserved there. He came with the heads of the people; He administered the justice of Yahweh, And His judgments with Israel.”

Tribe of Judah vs House of Judah

Now, today it is common to blur the distinction between the tribe of Judah and the House of Judah (which includes Levi). However, in the context of the Torah (before the tribes began to be separated into two separate houses in the days of Joshua and Judges), such a conflation does not work! And even if it hypothetically did work (which it does not), what would it hypothetically portend over Gad that Moshe’s portion of the lawgiver was allegedly hidden in the tribal territory of Gad? What would the Ramban have to say about that, in the context of Ma’asei Avot?

Bear with me, but respectfully, the Orthodox position is logical gibberish! If this is a reference to Moshe the Levite, then why does Moshe the Levite tell us that Gad would have the portion of the lawgiver, and that Gad would “administer the justice of Yahweh, and His judgments with Israel” if all that happened was that Moshe was buried in their land?

And how could Gad administer the justice of Yahweh and His judgments with Israel if Judah allegedly retained both the scepter and the Portion of the Lawgiver from ancient times until today? What sense does that make?

Two houses of Israel and the 10 lost tribes

Now, I wish we had time to cover more of the details of the tribes here, but we have those planned for other videos. However, if you want to read ahead and know more about the prophesied division of the nation of Israel into two houses (Judah and Joseph), as well as why the lost tribes of Joseph got lost, and why they presently follow Yeshua Messiah today, I can highly recommend reading both the Nazarene Israel study, and Revelation and the End Times.

You can also watch Revelation Simplified on YouTube (and actually the YouTube version has a little bit more information, as it covers the roles of the Patriarchs also). In those two studies, I show that while the lost tribes of Israel were scattered into every nation to fulfill the blessings of physical multiplicity that were given to Avraham and Israel, the majority of the lost tribes of Joseph are today still lost inside of Christendom.

Red horse Christians (Esav) vs White horse Christians (Joseph)

As we explain in Nazarene Israel, both Catholicism (including Eastern Orthodoxy) and Protestantism are transitional vehicles for bringing the lost tribes of Joseph home!

Now, this is difficult to summarize, but sadly, in broad, overly-general terms, most (but not all) in Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy are hostile to Judah, and to Joseph!—and in the Revelation studies we identify this attitude (or this spirit) as that of the Red Horse (which is associated with Esav)! And sadly, there are even some Protestants who are hostile (and we classify them as Red Horse Esav also)!

However, (again in broadly over-general terms) there are many Protestants who are friendly toward Judah and even the Torah, and these are what we call “White Horse” Notzrim (or “White Horse Christians”)—and we associate this kind of spirit with the Patriarch Joseph (or Joseph’s son Ephraim, or even Manasseh in some cases, but we still need to publish those studies)—and this is where your Christian Evangelicals and other pro-Israel groups come from.

And to be clear, they have to graduate and move on from these transitional vehicles in order to become Josephites—and we ask for your prayers and your help in bringing this message to them, as well as helping our brothers in Judah to know who we are also!

Now, if you are Jewish, consider that Maimonides (or the Rambam) would agree that the various forms of Christianity (and even Islam) are “stepping stones” toward the Jewish Millennial Reign!

Maimonides said much the same thing in his Mishneh Torah, in the infamously censored passage of “Kings and Wars”, around 11:7, where he said that “ultimately, all the deeds of Jesus of Nazareth (and that Ishmaelite who arose after him) will only serve to prepare the way for Mashiach’s coming and the improvement of the entire world.”

Nevertheless, the intent of the Creator of the world is not within the power of man to comprehend, for His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts, our thoughts. Ultimately, all the deeds of Jesus of Nazareth and that Ishmaelite who arose after him will only serve to prepare the way for Mashiach’s coming and the improvement of the entire world, motivating the nations to serve God together as Tzephaniah 3:9 states: ‘I will transform the peoples to a purer language that they all will call upon the name of God and serve Him with one purpose.’
[Mishneh Torah, Kings and Wars 11:7]

And in other videos where we talk about Avraham and Sarah’s “Three Measures of Meal” and also Mystery Babylon, we will see just how true that is! (And again, if you want to read ahead, I recommend the Nazarene Israel study!)

Conclusion:
1. Mashiach Nagid arrived in 3786 (26CE) before destruction of second temple.
2. The Portion of the Lawgiver was hidden in the tribe of Gad at Mashiach’s first coming.

There is much more that we have to say on this subject, and we hope to put it all (and more) on video and in print soon, with your help. However, we want to stop here for now, so it will have to wait for another video. Only, what we have seen so far are two things that show us that Mashiach has already come!

The first witness is the fact that according to Daniel 9:25-26, Mashiach Nagid had to arrive in 3786 (or 26 CE), before the destruction of the Second Temple. And the second witness is the fact that the Portion of the Lawgiver was hidden in the tribe of Gad at Mashiach Yeshua’s first coming—and this means that the Orthodox Jewish thesis (that Judah always has the portion of the lawgiver) is logically mistaken!

These are two solid reasons that you can believe that the Messiah of Israel has already come!

Please join us again for the next presentation in the series, where we show how the TNK indicates that the Mashiach would not be just an ordinary mortal human being—but that He had to be a manifestation of the Divine!

Shalom!
