Welcome. Parashat “Vayelech 5785 (2025): ” continues Genesis 35 dialogue toward the reunification of the Two Houses. It speaks about preparing to enter the land of Israel as an ordered nation, how whether we obey or disobey Yeshua Mashiach Nagid determines whether Yahweh Elohim will punish us in the end times, and how partial obedience is counted as lukewarmness.

My Jewish Learning: Gog and Magog
Gog and Magog refers to the enemies against whom God will wage an apocalyptic war at the dawn of the messianic age. The wars of Gog and Magog have come to be understood as essential to the Jewish eschatological vision of the end of days, a final battle between good and evil that will usher in a period of eternal peace.

The Zohar was first publicized by Moses de León (c. 1240 – 1305 CE), who claimed it was a Tannaitic work recording the teachings of Simeon ben Yochai [b] (c. 100 CE). This claim is universally rejected by modern scholars, most of whom believe de León, also an infamous forger of Geonic material, wrote the book himself between 1280 and 1286.

Wikipedia: The Chaldean Oracles
The Chaldean Oracles show an affinity with gnostic teachings of their time. They describe the transcendent First Paternal Intellect which includes the mediating World-Soul, a female Power Hecate similar to Sophia. Fiery emanations from the First Intellect produce the Second Intellect, the Demiurge, who comprehends the cosmos as well as himself, and creates Matter.Wikipedia: The Chaldean Oracles
The Farthest from the Highest God (First Father / Intellect) is a dense shell of matter from which the enlightened soul must emerge, shedding its bodily garments. A combination of ascetic conduct and correct ritual are recommended to free the soul from the confines of matter, and to defend it against the demonic powers lurking in the realms between Gods and mortals.Yochanan (John) 10:1-2

“Do you believe the golden age government is going to hand over all non-orthodox to talmudic law via the Noahide law? Please don’t block me. I legitimately want to know where your mindset is on this. What I hear you say this is a distinct possibility.Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 37:16-17
16 “As for you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it: ‘For Judah and for the children of Israel, his companions.’ Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel, his companions.’
17 Then join them one to another for yourself into one stick, and they will become one in your hand.”
Vayelech: midrash themes:
1. Preparing to enter the land as an ordered nation.
2. If we will do what Mashiach Nagid says, Yahweh will spare us from punishment.
3. If we hear Mashiach Nagid but do not do all that He says eagerly, then Yahweh
decides if we live or not.
4. Partial obedience is considered lukewarm (leading to death).
Torah Portion
Devarim (Deuteronomy) 29:10-11
10 “All of you all stand today before Yahweh your Elohim: your leaders and your tribes and your elders and your officers, all the men of Israel,
11 “your little ones and your wives—also the stranger who is in your camp, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water—Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:1-2
1 Then Moshe went and spoke these words to all Israel.
2 And he said to them: “I am one hundred and twenty years old today. I can no longer go out and come in. Also Yahweh has said to me, ‘You shall not cross over this Yarden.’Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:3-4
3 “Yahweh your Elohim Himself crosses over before you; He will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them. Yehoshua himself crosses over before you, just as Yahweh has said.
4 “And Yahweh will do to them as He did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites and their land, when He destroyed them.
Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:5-6
5 “Yahweh will give them over to you, that you may do to them according to every commandment which I have commanded you.
6 “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for Yahweh your Elohim, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:7
7 Then Moshe called Yehoshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and of good courage, for you must go with this people to the land which Yahweh has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall cause them to inherit it.Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:8
8 “And Yahweh, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:9
9 So Moshe wrote this Torah and delivered it to the priests, the sons of Levi, who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and to all the elders of Israel.Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:10-11
10 And Moshe commanded them, saying: “At the end of every seven years, at the appointed time in the year of release, at the Feast of Sukkot,
11 “when all Israel comes to appear before Yahweh your Elohim in the place which He chooses, you shall read this Torah before all Israel in their hearing.Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:12
12 “Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger [ְוְגֵרְךָ] who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear Yahweh your Elohim and carefully observe all the words of this Torah,Sefaria: Pirkei Avot 1:1
12 Moses received the Torah at Sinai and transmitted it to Joshua, Joshua to the elders, and the elders to the prophets, and the prophets to the Men of the Great Assembly. They said three things: Be patient in [the administration of] justice, raise many disciples and make a fence round the Torah.Mishle (Proverbs) 30:6
6 Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:12
12 “Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger [ְוְגֵרְךָ] who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear Yahweh your Elohim and carefully observe all the words of this Torah,Sefaria: Talmud Tractate Chagigah 13a
Rabbi Ami said: the words of Torah may not be transmitted to a gentile, as it is stated: “He has not dealt so with any nation, and as for His ordinances, they have not known them” (Psalms 147:20).Sefaria: Talmud Tractate Chagigah 13a
“He said to them: We learned with regard to them the secrets of the Torah: “Honey and milk are under your tongue” (Song of Songs 4:11), meaning that matters that are sweeter than honey and milk should remain under your tongue. In other words, one should not speak of such matters, and anyone who is familiar with them may not reveal them to others.”Devarim (Deuteronomy) 29:29
29 “The secret things belong to Yahweh our Elohim, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this Torah.Sefaria: Talmud Tractate Chagigah 13a
He “Rabbi Abbahu said: It is derived from here, from the following verse: ‘The lambs [kevasim] will be for your clothing” (Proverbs 27:26), which he expounds as though it were written with the letter shin, kevashim, meaning concealed matters: Things that constitute the concealed matters of the world should be under your clothing; you should not reveal them.’”Sefaria: Talmud Tractate Sanhedrin 59a
And Rabbi Yoḥanan says: A gentile who engages in Torah study is liable to receive the death penalty; as it is stated: “Moses commanded us a law [torah], an inheritance of the congregation of Jacob” (Deuteronomy 33:4), indicating that it is an inheritance for us, and not for them.Sefaria: Talmud Tractate Sanhedrin 59a
The Gemara answers: There, in the baraita, the reference is to a gentile who engages in the study of their seven mitzvot. It is a mitzva for a gentile to study the halakhot that pertain to the seven Noahide mitzvot, and when he does so he is highly regarded.Sefaria: Talmud Tractate Sanhedrin 58b
And Reish Lakish says: A gentile who observed Shabbat is liable to receive the death penalty, as it is stated: “And day and night shall not cease” (Genesis 8:23), which literally means: And day and night they shall not rest.Sefaria: Talmud Tractate Sanhedrin 58b
This is interpreted homiletically to mean that the descendants of Noah may not take a day of rest.Sefaria: Talmud Tractate Sanhedrin 58b
And the Master said [57a] that their prohibition is their death penalty, i.e., the punishment for any prohibition with regard to descendants of Noah is execution.”Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:12
12 “Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear Yahweh your Elohim and carefully observe all the words of this Torah,Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:12-13
13 “and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear Yahweh your Elohim as long as you live in the land which you cross the Jordan to possess.”Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:14
14 Then Yahweh said to Moshe, “Behold, the days approach when you must die; call Yehoshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of meeting, that I may inaugurate him.” So Moshe and Yehoshua went and presented themselves in the tabernacle of meeting.Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:15
15 Now Yahweh appeared at the tabernacle in a pillar of cloud, and the pillar of cloud stood above the door of the tabernacle.Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:16
16 And Yahweh said to Moshe: “Behold, you will rest with your fathers; and this people will rise and play the harlot with the elohim of the foreigners of the land, where they go to be among them, and they will forsake Me and break My covenant which I have made with them.Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:17
17 “Then My anger shall be aroused against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured. And many evils and troubles shall befall them, so that they will say in that day, ‘Have not these evils come upon us because our Elohim is not among us?’Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:18-19
18 “And I will surely hide My face in that day because of all the evil which they have done, in that they have turned to other elohim.
19 “Now therefore, write down this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel; put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel.Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:20
20 “When I have brought them to the land flowing with milk and honey, of which I swore to their fathers, and they have eaten and filled themselves and grown fat, then they will turn to other elohim and serve them; and they will provoke Me and break My covenant.Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:21
21 “Then it shall be, when many evils and troubles have come upon them, that this song will testify against them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten in the mouths of their descendants, for I know the inclination of their behavior today, even before I have brought them to the land of which I swore to give them.”
Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:22-23
22 Therefore Moshe wrote this song the same day, and taught it to the children of Israel.
23 Then He inaugurated Yehoshua ben Nun, and said, “Be strong and of good courage; for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land of which I swore to them, and I will be with you.”Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:24-25
24 “So it was, when Moshe had completed writing the words of this Torah in a book, when they were finished,
25 that Moshe commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, saying:Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:26-27 (Rabbinic)
26 “Take this Book of the Torah, and replace it with your own Talmud and Kabbalah.”Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:26-27
26 “Take this Book of the Torah, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your Elohim, that it may be there as a witness against you;
27 “for I know your rebellion and your stiff neck. If today, while I am yet alive with you, you have been rebellious against Yahweh, then how much more after my death?Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:28
28 “Gather to me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their hearing and call heaven and earth to witness against them.Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:29
29 “For I know that after my death you will become utterly corrupt, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you. And evil will befall you in the latter days, because you will do evil in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke Him to anger through the work of your hands.”Devarim (Deuteronomy) 31:30
30 Then Moshe spoke in the hearing of all the assembly of Israel the words of this song until they were ended:

8 They do not push one another; Every one marches in his own column. Though they lunge between the weapons, They are not cut down.Yoel (Joel) 2:9-10 (Rabbis: No Jews)
9 They run to and fro in the city, They run on the wall; They climb into the houses, They enter at the windows like a thief.
10 The earth quakes before them, The heavens tremble; The sun and moon grow dark, And the stars diminish their brightness.Yoel (Joel) 2:11-12 (Rabbis: No Jews)
11 Yahweh gives voice before His army, For His camp is very great; For strong is the One who executes His word. For the day of Yahweh is great and very terrible;
Who can endure it?
12 “Now, therefore,” says Yahweh, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”Yoel (Joel) 2:13-14 (Rabbis: No Jews)
13 So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to Yahweh your Elohim, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.
14 Who knows if He will turn and relent, And leave a blessing behind Him—A grain offering and a drink offering For Yahweh your Elohim?Yoel (Joel) 2:15-16 (Rabbis: Jews ok)
15 Blow the trumpet in Tzion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly;
16 Gather the people, Set-apart the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room.Yoel (Joel) 2:17 (Rabbis: Jews ok)
17 Let the priests, who minister to Yahweh, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O Yahweh, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their Elohim?’”Yoel (Joel) 2:18-19 (Rabbis: Jews ok)
18 Then Yahweh will be zealous for His land, And pity His people.
19 Yahweh will answer and say to His people, “Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, And you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations.Yoel (Joel) 2:18-19 (Rabbis: Jews ok)
20 “But I will remove far from you the northern army, And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, With his face toward the eastern sea And his back toward the western sea; His stench will come up, And his foul odor will rise, Because he has done monstrous things.”Yoel (Joel) 2:21-22 (Rabbis: Jews ok)
21 Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For Yahweh has done marvelous things!
22 Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field; For the open pastures are springing up, And the tree bears its fruit; The fig tree and the vine yield their strength.Yoel (Joel) 2:23 (Rabbis: Jews ok)
23 Be glad then, you children of Tzion, And rejoice in Yahweh your Elohim; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you—The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month.Yoel (Joel) 2:24-25 (Rabbis: Jews ok)
24 The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.
25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.Yoel (Joel) 2:26-27 (Rabbis: Jews ok)
26 “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of Yahweh your Elohim, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame.
27 “Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am Yahweh your Elohim And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.Yoel (Joel) 2:28-29 (Rabbis: No Jews)
28 “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.
29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.Yoel (Joel) 2:30-31 (Rabbis: No Jews)
30 “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
31 “The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of Yahweh.

Yaakov (James) 1:1
1 Yaakov, a bondservant of Elohim and of the Adon Yeshua HaMashiach, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings.Melachim Bet (2 Kings) 18:13
13 And in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and took them.Yaakov (James) 1:2-4
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.Yaakov (James) 1:5-6
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of Elohim, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.Ephesim (Ephesians) 4:14
14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting…Yaakov (James) 1:7-8
7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from Yahweh;
8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.Tehillim (Psalms) 119:113
113 I hate the double-minded, But I love Your Torah.Yaakov (James) 1:9-11
9 Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation,
10 but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.
11 For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.Yaakov (James) 1:12-13
12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which Yahweh has promised to those who love Him.
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by Elohim”; for Elohim cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.Yaakov (James) 1:14-15
14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.
15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.Mishle (Proverbs) 4:23
23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.Yaakov (James) 1:17-18
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.Yaakov (James) 1:19-20
19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of Elohim.Yaakov (James) 1:21-22
21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.Yaakov (James) 1:23-24
23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.Yaakov (James) 1:25
25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.Tehillim (Psalms) 119:44-47
44 So shall I keep Your Torah continually, Forever and ever.
45 And I will walk at liberty, For I seek Your precepts.
46 I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, And will not be ashamed.
47 And I will delight myself in Your commandments, Which I love.Yaakov (James) 1:26-27
26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.
27 Pure and undefiled religion before Elohim and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.Yaakov (James) 2:1-2
1 My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Adon Yeshua Mashiach, the Adon of glory, with partiality.
2 For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes,Yaakov (James) 2:3-4
3 and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,”
4 have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?Yaakov (James) 2:5-6
5 Listen, my beloved brethren: Has Elohim not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?
6 But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts?
7 Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called?Yaakov (James) 2:8-9
8 If you really fulfill the royal Torah according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well;
9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the Torah as transgressors.Yaakov (James) 2:10-11
10 For whoever shall keep the whole Torah, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the Torah.Yaakov (James) 2:12-13
12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the Torah of liberty.
13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.Tehillim (Psalms) 119:44-47
44 So shall I keep Your Torah continually, Forever and ever.
45 And I will walk at liberty, For I seek Your precepts.
46 I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, And will not be ashamed.
47 And I will delight myself in Your commandments, Which I love.Yaakov (James) 2:14
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?Yaakov (James) 2:15-17
15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,
16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?
17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 47:5-6
5 “Sit in silence, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; For you shall no longer be called The Lady of Kingdoms.
6 “I was angry with My people; I have profaned My inheritance, And given them into your hand. You showed them no mercy; On the elderly you laid your yoke very heavily.Yaakov (James) 2:18
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.Yaakov (James) 2:19-20
19 You believe that there is one Elohim. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?Yaakov (James) 2:21-22
21 Was not Avraham our father justified by works when he offered Yitzhak his son on the altar?
22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?Yaakov (James) 2:23-24
23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Avraham believed Elohim, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of Elohim.
24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.Yaakov (James) 2:25-26
25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 37:16-17
16 “As for you, son of man, take a stickfor yourself and write on it: ‘For Judah and for the children of Israel, his companions.’ Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel, his companions.’
17 Then join them one to another for yourself into one stick, and they will become one in your hand.”
B’reisheet (Genesis) 2:15
15 Then Yahweh Elohim took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
Shabbat shalom.
