Parasha Vayakhel/Pekudei
Vayakhel, Wayyaqhel, VaYakhel, Va-Yakhel, Vayak'hel, Vayak'heil, or Vayaqhel (וַיַּקְהֵל—פְקוּדֵי Hebrew for “and he assembled”).
Parasha Vayakhel-Pekudei, in Exodus, concludes the construction of the Tabernacle. The Israelites contribute willingly, and skilled artisans execute the intricate details. Moshe oversees the assembly of the Tabernacle and the placement of its sacred items. The Parasha emphasizes meticulous accounting, ensuring transparency in resource utilization. Elohim's presence fills the Tabernacle upon its completion. Vayakhel-Pekudei underscores the harmonious collaboration of the community in fulfilling a divine mandate, highlighting the intersection of human skill and divine guidance. The Parasha encapsulates the culmination of a sacred project and the tangible manifestation of the Israelites' commitment to creating a dwelling place for Yahweh among them.
