Parashat Re’eh
Re'eh, Reeh, R'eih, or Ree (רְאֵה-Hebrew for “see”).
Re'eh, in Deuteronomy, addresses the Israelites with a choice: blessings for obedience or curses for disobedience. Moshe instructs them to destroy idolatrous sites and adhere to Elohim's laws. The parasha introduces the concept of a centralized place of worship, later established as the Temple in Jerusalem. Dietary laws are reiterated, and the cycle of tithing is outlined. Moshe emphasizes compassion for the less fortunate through the release of debts and support for the needy. Re'eh underscores the moral and spiritual consequences of choices, promoting a covenantal relationship between the people and Elohim grounded in ethical.
