Welcome. Parashat Toldot 5785 (2025): “Why Does Esav HATE Judah and Joseph?” examines the mistake of choosing worldly desires over building the kingdom of Elohim. It shows how Esav deflected his birthright responsibilities for a bowl of soup, how Esav hates his brother Jacob (Judah and Joseph), Esav’s relationship with Ishmael, and how white-horse Josephites differ from red-horse Esavites.
Toldot Outline:
- More aviv barley harvesting questions.
- Praise report.
- Torah portion: Why does Esav want to kill both Judah and Joseph?
- Haftarah portion: Malachi 1-2, Obadiah 1, and Jeremiah 49.
- Brit Chadasha: Hebrews 12
Aviv barley harvesting (viewer questions):
Question of the Week #1:
“(I thought) …the whole point of starting the count to Shavuot is that you cut the very first sheaf aviv barley firstfruits ON Yom HaNafat HaOmer, and this starts the count of seven weeks of barley harvesting up to Shavuot… and so every farmer will have seven weeks to harvest, and then bring his first fruits up at Shavuot? The way DDT does it, she harvests all at once?”
“But if she is not harvesting barley for seven weeks, why does she have a seven-week harvest count in between Yom HaNafat HaOmer and Shavuot? Or why does she think Yahweh tells us to count seven weeks for the barley harvest?”
Root (Ruth) 1:22
22 So Naomi returned, and Root the Moabitess her daughter-in-law with her, who returned from the country of Moav. Now they came to Beit Lechem at the beginning of barley harvest.Root (Ruth) 2:23
23 So she stayed close by the young women of Boaz, to glean until the end of barley harvest and wheat harvest; and she dwelt with her mother-in-law.Root (Ruth) 3:2
2 “Now Boaz, whose young women you were with, is he not our relative? In fact, he is winnowing barley tonight at the threshing floor.”Root (Ruth) 3:10-11
10 Then he said, “Blessed are you of Yahweh, my daughter! For you have shown more kindness at the end than at the beginning, in that you did not go after young men, whether poor or rich.
11 And now, my daughter, do not fear. I will do for you all that you request, for all the people of my town know that you are a virtuous woman.
Question of the Week #2:
“Devorah uses B’reisheet 1:14 as her reason for using the sun for the start of the year. But with that theology, anyone could start the year with any phase of the moon, any phase of the sun, and any position of any planet! Therefore, we must also carefully consider Yahweh’s other witnesses as to when the year begins.
Question of the Week #2:
“She states that no stage of barley determines the head of the year, but Scripture specifically tells us to keep the month of THE AVIV, which refers to a specific stage of barley. One cannot start the year and have an aviv omer for Yom HaNafat HaOmer in the Month of the Aviv without barley in an aviv stage.”
Praise report (viewer comment)
“YAH’s HOLY SPIRIT has told me to give you this gift. I was told that he is well pleased with your work and I need to bless you for it.”
Qorintim Bet (2 Corinthians) 9:7-8
7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for Elohim loves a cheerful giver.
8 And Elohim is able to make all favor abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 9:7
7 Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will perform this.Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 37:16-17
16 “As for you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it: ‘For Judah and for the children of Israel, his companions.’ Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel, his companions.’
17 Then join them one to another for yourself into one stick, and they will become one in your hand.”Marqaus (Mark) 9:41
41 “For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Mashiach, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.”

1 Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,
2 that the sons of Elohim saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.B’reisheet (Genesis) 7:22-23
22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died.
23 So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive.B’reisheet (Genesis) 9:20-22
20 And Noach began to be a farmer, and he planted a vineyard.
21 Then he drank of the wine and was drunk, and became uncovered in his tent.
22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.B’reisheet (Genesis) 9:26-27
26 And he said: “Blessed be Yahweh, The Elohim of Shem, And may Canaan be his servant.
27 “May Elohim enlarge Yapheth, And may he dwell in the tents of Shem; And may Canaan be his servant.”(1/3 of the messengers fell. After the Flood there are now demons.)

8 Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth.
9 He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before Yahweh.”(Self-exaltation rather than service to Yah’s kingdom.)

Solar accuracy: Why do all pyramids point to Orion?
It is not news that the Pyramids of Giza have an alignment that points towards a specific constellation. Rather, each peak was installed just below the three stars that make up Orion’s belt. Religiously, the ancient Egyptians thought that this set of stars corresponded to Osiris and Isis, two of the most important gods of their sacred pantheon.
Historical Eve: “The Mystery of the Perfect…”
Solar accuracy: Why do all pyramids point to Orion?
…The alignment of the Pyramids of Giza points directly to this constellation so that, upon death, the pharaoh’s soul would arrive directly with Osiris, who conducted the Final Judgment in the other world.Hitgalut (Revelation) 9:10-12
10 They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months.
11 And they had as king over them the messenger of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.

Wikipedia: Date of Easter
Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the Paschal full moon (a mathematical approximation of the first astronomical full moon, on or after 21 March – itself a fixed approximation of the March equinox).

“A point of interest to some who may not understand it, but technically it is referred to as the Month of THE Abib where we learn its name and function. From that we simply refer to it as the Month of Abib.Facebook: Convery, Abib of God (1/31/2025)
“Unfortunately, at this time of year we are also inundated with some unbiblical sages spewing out their insanity…. Their chief mantra flooding and blowing about at this time is the calendar is preset with the equinox being the biblical “sign” we are to wait on to start the new year.Facebook: Convery, Abib of God (1/31/2025)
“Of course that is as pagan as January 1st at midnight as the new year. Translated that means where is the command in scripture to look for the abib (barley)? That is because they are all wrapped up in one wind of doctrine or another about unbiblical claims of equinox’s dominion in the Calendar. Watch how easy it is to answer that pagan centered doctrine.Facebook: Convery, Abib of God (1/31/2025)
“The only Biblical reference to an unseen moment in the sky which is pertinent to the Promised Land is the equilux. That is because it is the equilux (equal day and night) that originates at the coordinates of Jerusalem. Every location on earth has one. You old timers know we have the dates of it for Jerusalem on the website for others to use if they are so inclined.

Why some might ask? Because Christ/Messiah used it as an example in the gospels once.
John 11:9 Jesus answered, are there not twelve hours in this (not the) day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.Yochanan (John) 11:8-10 (NKJV corrected)
8 The disciples said to Him, “Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone You, and are You going there again?”
9 Yeshua answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
10 “But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”Yochanan (John) 11:9-10 (LEB)
9 Jesus replied, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks around in the daylight, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
10 But if anyone walks around in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.
Strong’s Concordance G3588
ὁ, ἡ, τό ho hē to ho, hay, to
The masculine, feminine (second) and neuter (third) forms, in all their inflections; the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom): – the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.Facebook: Convery, Abib of God (1/31/2025)
The context is very clear (as is the Greek grammar) as He continues to instruct about light and dark. There are only 2 days each year with almost the same amount of light and dark, and both precede the worlds equinox delusion. Our Creator clearly understood that, so it’s obvious He is not talking about the Roman division of the day.Yochanan (John) 9:4-5
4 “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.
5 “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
Devarim (Deuteronomy) 4:19
19 “And take heed, lest you lift your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, you feel driven to worship them and serve them, which Yahweh your Elohim has given to all the peoples under the whole heaven as a heritage.”Devarim (Deuteronomy) 12:32
32 “Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.

31 And Terah took his son Avram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Avram’s wife, and they went out with them from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan; and they came to Haran and dwelt there.
32 …and Terah died in Haran.B’reisheet (Genesis) 24:4

B’reisheet (Genesis) 27:41
41 So Esav hated Yaakov because of the blessing with which his father blessed him, and Esav said in his heart, “The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then I will kill my brother Yaakov.”
B’reisheet (Genesis) 27:42
42 And the words of Esav her older son were told to Rivkah. So she sent and called Yaakov her younger son, and said to him, “Surely your brother Esav comforts himself concerning you by intending to kill you.

Malachi 1:2-3
1 The burden of the word of Yahweh to Israel by Malachi. 2 “I have loved you,” says Yahweh. “Yet you say, ‘In what way have You loved us?’ Was not Esav Yaakov’s brother?” Says Yahweh. “Yet Yaakov I have loved;
3 But Esav I have hated, And laid waste his mountains and his heritage For the jackals of the wilderness.”Malachi 2:1-2
1 “And now, O priests, this commandment is for you.

7 “For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, And people should seek the Torah from his mouth; For he is the messenger of Yahweh of hosts.(Ashkenaz Haftarah ends here!)
Malachi 2:8-9 (NOT in the Ashkenazi Haftarah)
8 “But you have departed from the way; You have caused many to stumble at the Torah. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi,” Says Yahweh of hosts.
9 “Therefore I also have made you contemptible and base Before all the people, Because you have not kept My ways But have shown partiality in the Torah.”Malachi 2:8-9 (LEB) (Not in Ashkenazi Haf.)
8 “But you, you have turned from the way; you have caused many to stumble by your instruction; you have ruined the covenant of Levi,” says Yahweh of hosts.
9 “And in turn I have made you despised and humbled before all the people, inasmuch as you are not keeping My way, but are favoring your own instruction.” (Why is this not in the Haftarah?)Obadiah 1:1-2
1 The vision of Obadiah. Thus says Adonai Yahweh concerning Edom (We have heard a report from Yahweh, And a messenger has been sent among the nations, saying, “Arise, and let us rise up against her for battle”):
2 “Behold, I will make you small among the nations; You shall be greatly despised.Obadiah 1:3-4
3 “The pride of your heart has deceived you, You who dwell in the clefts of the rock, Whose habitation is high; You who say in your heart, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’
4 “Though you ascend as high as the eagle, And though you set your nest among the stars, From there I will bring you down,” says Yahweh.Obadiah 1:5-6
5 “If thieves had come to you, If robbers by night—Oh, how you will be cut off!—Would they not have stolen till they had enough? If grape-gatherers had come to you, Would they not have left some gleanings?
6 “Oh, how Esav shall be searched out! How his hidden treasures shall be sought after!Obadiah 1:8-9
8 “Will I not in that day,” says Yahweh, “Even destroy the wise men from Edom, And understanding from the mountains of Esav?
9 Then your mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, To the end that everyone from the mountains of Esav May be cut off by slaughter.Obadiah 1:10
10 “For violence against your brother Yaakov, Shame shall cover you, And you shall be cut off forever.Obadiah 1:17-18
17 “But on Mount Tzion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be set-apartness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.
18 The house of Jacob shall be a fire, And the house of Joseph a flame; But the house of Esav shall be stubble; They shall kindle them and devour them, And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esav,” For Yahweh has spoken.Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 49:7-8
7 Against Edom. Thus says Yahweh of hosts: “Is wisdom no more in Teman? Has counsel perished from the prudent? Has their wisdom vanished?
8 “Flee, turn back, dwell in the depths, O inhabitants of Dedan! For I will bring the calamity of Esav upon him, The time that I will punish him.Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 49:10

17 “Edom also shall be an astonishment; Everyone who goes by it will be astonished And will hiss at all its plagues.
18 “As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah And their neighbors,” says Yahweh, “No one shall remain there, Nor shall a son of man dwell in it.Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 35:1-3
1 Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
2 “Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir and prophesy against it,
3 and say to it, ‘Thus says Adonai Yahweh: “Behold, O Mount Seir, I am against you; I will stretch out My hand against you, And make you most desolate;Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 35:5
5 “Because you have had an ancient hatred, and have shed the blood of the children of Israel by the power of the sword at the time of their calamity, when their iniquity came to an end…”Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 35:7, 9
7 Thus I will make Mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it the one who leaves and the one who returns.
…
9 I will make you perpetually desolate, and your cities shall be uninhabited; then you shall know that I am Yahweh.Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 35:10-11
10 “Because you have said, ‘These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess them,’ although Yahweh was there,
11 “therefore, as I live,” says Adonai Yahweh, “I will do according to your anger and according to the envy which you showed in your hatred against them; and I will make Myself known among them when I judge you.Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 35:12-13
12 “Then you shall know that I am Yahweh. I have heard all your blasphemies which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, ‘They are desolate; they are given to us to consume.’
13 “Thus with your mouth you have boasted against Me and multiplied your words against Me; I have heard them.”Daniel 7:25
25 “He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change [appointed] times and Torah. Then the set-apart ones shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.

13 “Thus with your mouth you have boasted against Me and multiplied your words against Me; I have heard them.”Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 35:14-15
14 ‘Thus says Adonai Yahweh: “The whole earth will rejoice when I make you desolate.
15 “As you rejoiced because the inheritance of the house of Israel was desolate, so I will do to you; you shall be desolate, O Mount Seir, as well as all of Edom—all of it! Then they shall know that I am Yahweh.”’

Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:1
1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 37:16-17
16 “As for you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it: ‘For Judah and for the children of Israel, his companions.’ Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel, his companions.’
17 Then join them one to another for yourself into one stick, and they will become one in your hand.”Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:2
2 looking unto Yeshua, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of Elohim.Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:3
3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.
4 You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin.Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:5-6
5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of Yahweh, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;
6 For whom Yahweh loves, He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:7-8
7 If you endure chastening, Elohim deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?
8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.
Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:9-10
9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His set-apartness.Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:11
11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:12-13
12 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees,
13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:14-15
14 Pursue peace with all people, and set-apartness, without which no one will see Yahweh:
15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the favor of Elohim; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:16-17
16 lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esav, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.
17 For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.Filipim (Philippians) 3:17
17 Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern….Filipim (Philippians) 3:18-19
18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Mashiach:
19 whose end is destruction, whose elohim is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:18-19
18 For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest,
19 and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore.Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:20-21
20 (For they could not endure what was commanded: “And is so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned or shot with an arrow.”
21 And so terrifying was the sight that Moshe said, “I am exceedingly afraid and trembling.”)Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:22-23
22 But you have come to Mount Tzion and to the city of the living Elohim, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of messengers,
23 to the general assembly and ecclesia of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to Elohim the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,Ephesim (Ephesians) 4:11-12
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the
body of Mashiach,Ephesim (Ephesians) 4:13
13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of Elohim, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Mashiach…Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:24-25
24 to Yeshua the Mediator of the Renewed Covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Hevel.
25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:26-27
26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.”
27 Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.Ivrim (Hebrews) 12:28-29
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have favor, by which we may serve Elohim acceptably with reverence and righteous fear.
29 For our Elohim is a consuming fire.
Prayer Request 2:
Mattityahu (Matthew) 6:33
33 “But seek first the kingdom of Elohim and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”Mattityahu (Matthew) 9:36-37
36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
38 “Therefore pray the Master of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
