Welcome to the prime minister parasha midrash, where Mashiach ben Yosef for 5776 and 5777 gives mikrah and midrash advice that the prime minister needs to know, so that Judah does not murder all their brothers in Joseph, like the Orthodox rabbis teach all their people to pray for 18 times each week in the Birkat HaMinim.
“For the apostates [meaning anyone who has left Orthodox Judaism, such as Yeshua (or Jesus), and everyone who follows Him] let there be no hope! And uproot the kingdom of arrogance speedily and in our days! May the Nazarenes and [all] the [other] sectarians [or the other “minim”] perish, as in a moment! Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, and not be written together with the righteous! You are praised, O Adonai, who subdues the arrogant!”
[Wikipedia, Jerusalem Talmud-Birkat haMinim]
So, a big welcome to the rabbis who advise the prime minister of Israel, from Mashiach ben Yosef for 5776 and 5777.
My editors insist that I bring the parashiot down to under an hour, and the only way I know how to do that is to explain less. And I am concerned about it, because we want to build genuine dialogue, and as we have seen in the last few parashiot, Judah does not know the Tanach. He thinks he does, but they ordain rabbis who have not even read the whole Tanach one time. (They do not believe it is important.)
“The No.1 thing”, he said, “I edited the commentary on the entire Tanach from beginning to end, which was my first time going through all of Tanach!” [Jerusalem Post interview, Rabbi Tuly Weisz]
So, let us dive in.
Ephraim and Manessah half-Kham
B’reisheet (Genesis) 47:29-30
29 When the time drew near that Israel must die, he called his son Joseph and said to him, “Now if I have found favor in your sight, please put your hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me. Please do not bury me in Egypt. [meaning: please do not bury me in the world.]
30 “But let me lie with my fathers; you shall carry me out of Egypt [out of the world] and bury me in their burial place.” And he [Joseph] said, “I will do as you have said.” [Because Joseph knows what it is like to be in Egypt.]B’reisheet (Genesis) 48:1, 5
1 Now it came to pass, after these things that Joseph was told, “Indeed your father is sick”; and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
5 “And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, who were born to you in the land of Mizraim [Egypt] before I came to you in Mizraim, are mine; as Reuven and Shimon, they shall be mine.” [Joseph likely said this to protect Ephraim and Manasseh.]
Now, just to get this out of the way, let us remember that Avraham came from Ur of the Kasdim (or Ur of the Chaldees). The majority opinion is that it was in Iraq and the alternate opinion is Turkey. Either way, you are talking Shem (or maybe even Yapheth), but not Kham. So, one way or another, you are talking a much lighter skinned people than Kham in Egypt.
Last week in Parasha Miketz, in B’reisheet 46:20, we saw that Manasseh and Ephraim have Asenath, the daughter of Potipherah, the Egyptian priest of On, as their mother.
What kind of Nachmanides cycle did Judah and Levi (and I guess you also blame Shimon), was set in motion here, when they sold our forefather Joseph into slavery? Did they create two new species? And if Ephraim and Manasseh are half Egyptian, then are not we talking not just darker skin, but curly hair?
Listen. Does anyone in the house of Judah have a problem with great-great-great grandma being black?? (I know some Ephraimites in Texas who have a big problem with grandma being black.) But is not that self-hatred?
Ephraim and Manasseh’s blessings
In B’reisheet 48 verses 13 through 14, Joseph guided Ephraim with his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, because Ephraim was the younger, so he should get the left-hand blessing. (Which is not great because the left hand symbolizes ‘pushing away’). And Joseph also guided Manasseh with his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, because Manasseh was the older, and the right hand is for ‘drawing near’.
But then in verse 14, Israel, being a prophet, famously crossed his hands. He stretched out his right hand and laid it on Ephraim’s head, even though Ephraim was younger. And at the same time, he put his left hand on Manasseh’s head, even though Manasseh was the firstborn. And drop a Nachmanides pattern marker there and we will unpack it in the Abraham Accords series.
B’reisheet 48:13-14
13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim with his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh with his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near him.
14 Then Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands knowingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn.
In verse 16 there is a special blessing over Ephraim and Manasseh. Israel prophesied that Ephraim and Manasseh would “grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth”.
B’reisheet 48:16
16 “The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; let my name be named upon them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”
“Teeming in the earth”
This is not just any multitude. When we look at the Hebrew, it tells us וְיִדְגּוּ לָרֹב בְּקֶרֶב הָאָרֶץ (“ydagu l’rov b’kerev ha-aretz”).
What it means is, “Let them teem like fishes in the midst of the earth”. And what do we see in Christianity, but a multitude of Christian fish symbols?
And fisherman motifs?
The reason Ephraim and Manasseh are still teeming in the earth is because they are not yet aching to go back to Israel. They are still on the far side of the Sambation river for another two big wars, and maybe 2-3 more generations.
B’reisheet (Genesis) 48:18-19
18 And Joseph said to his father, “Not so, my father, for this one is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head.”
19 But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great; but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.”
So, in verse 18 Joseph is like, “Dad, what are you doing?”
And in verse 19, Israel (Jacob) is like, “I know, son. I get it. I know what I am doing. You are a prophet? Who do you think you got it from, son? Now that we got that straight, the firstborn Manasseh shall also become a people, and he also shall be great.”
We do not have time to unpack this here, but we will look at this in more detail in the Abraham Accords series. But if we look at the goy nations and also the Jewish, Catholic, and Protestant nations as prophetic bodies, we get a different picture.
And there are several authors and many points of discussion. But for example, there is an Orthodox Jewish man named Yair Davidiy, who wrote several books related to biblical and archaeological research into the migrations of the lost tribes. There are also several Christian authors, including Raymond Capt, and also, Steven Collins. But I try to read the Jewish stuff because the commandment was to make friends with brother Judah.
So here is Yair Davidiy’s “best of” compilation, called “The Tribes.” And in Hebrew it is called “Achim Aherim” (or “The Other Brothers”.)
Yair is 100 percent Orthodox. He is against Yeshua for sure. And he basically catalogues the archaeological and historical evidence showing the migrations of the prophetic bodies of the tribes by various migration routes, to what later became Protestant northwestern Europe. And this is only one of many levels of what Yahweh is doing with every family, and every nation, and every clan, all over the earth.
However, we disagree with Davidiy in that we believe the United States of America is the younger brother. And that is simply because England was the mother country, so to speak. England and the UK is the older brother Manasseh, who also is great. And America is the younger brother Ephraim, who went on to become greater.
Ephraim and the United States
It is nothing to get prideful about, because Elohim chooses the least. And we will try to unpack that more in the Abraham Accords series.
But as we see in verse 19, the “younger brother [the USA] shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become [and the New King James version reads], a multitude of nations.”
B’reisheet (Genesis) 48:19b
19b “but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.”
Some people tie that description to the 50 US states and their protectorates. But if we take that back to the Hebrew, the phrase here is ‘melo ha-goyim’, and it refers to the ‘fullness of the nations’, or to the ‘completeness of the nations’.
H4393
מְלוֹ מְלוֹא מְלֹא
melô’ melô’ melô
From H4390; fulness (literally or figuratively): – X all along, X all that is (there-) in, fill, (X that whereof . . . was) full, fulness, [hand-] full, multitude.H1471
גֹּי גּוֹי
gôy gôy
Apparently from the same root as H1465 (in the sense of massing); a foreign nation; hence a Gentile; also (figuratively) a troop of animals, or a flight of locusts: – Gentile, heathen, nation, people.
[Strong’s Hebrew Concordance]
The United States fits this description in a very real sense, in that you have a country that is made up of a multitude of religious nations (because the way Yahweh looks at things, your religion is your nationality).
And in the Abraham Accords series and in the Four Horses series we will see that, at least in another very real sense, the United States of America is also prophetically the last (or the least) of the nations, as it says in Yirmeyahu 50:12.
Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 50:12
12 Your mother shall be deeply ashamed; she who bore you shall be ashamed. Behold, the least of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land and a desert.
The United States is the most degenerate of the nations (in a certain sense). And taken in context, the whole passage in Yirmeyahu basically prophesies the destruction of the United States of America. And as we will see in the Four Horses series, this coming destruction (basically World War 4) is what forces the remnant of Ephraim to come home.
And this is the real reason why Yahweh allows the rabbis to pray for the destruction of the United States of America, is to make Ephraim leave the prophetic land of Babylon, and come home to the land of Israel, when it is time.
[“The United States is considered the spiritual heir of Rome”]
The Protestant Reformation
As we will see in chapter two of the documentary for the prime minister, the biggest problem here is that the Orthodox rabbis are willfully ignorant of the fact that the USA is a legacy Protestant country (not Catholic). And as a legacy Protestant nation, it is therefore of Joseph, (not Esav). And what is sad is that a lot of these anti-USA and USA-hating rabbis even grew up in the United States and should know better.
The pilgrims were Protestant religious refugees. There is a good movie one can buy called “Dangerous Crossing”, which talks all about why the pilgrims wanted to escape even the Anglican church in favor of reading the Bible for themselves. To them, it seemed like a good deal to risk their lives with disease, starvation, and potentially hostile neighbors to settle a new world. And they did it just to get away from the British state religion.
Because why? Because the pilgrims knew that the Protestant crowns of Europe are still ultimately extensions of Rome, because they continue to practice Roman doctrines. (Like the Trinity, which we will see in the Abraham Accords series an Esavite doctrine which ultimately hails from mystery Babylon.)
What Judah needs to realize is that Joseph broke free of Esav’s Talmud and Esav’s yoke in the Protestant Reformation of 5278 (1517 CE). And there were more than 200 years of hot wars that followed, just to get loose. And even today, it is not really over.
But notice how the Orthodox rabbis call Protestant Ephraimite USA an Esavite country. However, as we will see in the Abraham Accords and the Four Horses series, they do have a certain prophetic point. And that is because Protestantism, per se, does not come all the way back to the original apostolic faith.
Most Protestants still worship on Sunday, which is Esav’s day of worship. So how can Ephraim expect Judah to recognize him as Ephraim when he still obeys Esav’s ways?
How can you expect the identity thieves on the Noachide Kiruv channel to leave you alone and not try to steal your identity, if you do not clean up, and because like Hebrews, rather than the sons of an Egyptian pagan priest’s daughter?
B’reisheet 48:21-22
21 Then Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am dying, but Elohim will be with you, and bring you [meaning his descendants] back to the land of your fathers.
22 Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and my bow.”
(Is that what Judah is trying to prevent, is the fulfillment of our father Israel’s word?)
Twelve (or 13) tribes in the end times
B’reisheet chapter 49 is very important. Father Israel prophesies over all twelve tribes, to say what shall befall them in the last days.
B’reisheet (Genesis) 49:1
1 And Jacob called his sons and said, “Gather together, that I may tell you what shall befall you in the last days:”
And notice that we are in the last days, and there are twelve (or thirteen) tribes listed here. (Are there not?) Our father Israel says that these prophecies are for now! Only if you are a Talmudist, then you cannot believe it, because you live in a split-level head.
Because on the one hand you know that these are prophecies from Israel our father, and he prophesied that in the end times, there would be twelve (or thirteen) tribes. And then on the other hand, in your split-level Tamar-in-law apartment you have splitsophrenia. Because the Talmudistan community rules require you to deny that any other tribes exist.
Only Judah, Levi, and Benjamin still exist, right? But there is no more Joseph, right? So, just kill Joseph, and now you get all his women and babies, right? And his priestly role? And his ketonet passim?
Levi’s cruelty to Joseph
But how did Judah get the kingship role anyway? In verse 3, Reuven was the firstborn, but sadly, he disqualified himself through sexual immorality. (And if Judah does not think that the Tamar cycle costs him, then he has another think coming.)
B’reisheet (Genesis) 49:3-4
3 “Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity and the excellency of power.
4 Unstable as water, you shall not excel, because you went up to your father’s bed; then you defiled it—he went up to my couch.
Now let us talk about cruelty.
B’reisheet (Genesis) 49:5-7
5 “Simeon and Levi are brothers; instruments of cruelty [yetzer hara, an evil fleshly inclination] are in their dwelling place.
6 Let not my soul enter their council; let not my honor be united to their assembly; for in their anger they slew a man, and in their self-will they hamstrung an ox.
7 Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce; and their wrath, for it is cruel! I will divide them in Jacob and scatter them in Israel.
What ox? The ox (or the re’im, or the aurochs ox) is the ancient symbol for Joseph. And the re’im (or the aurochs) ox was an ancient, large ox. The males stood about 1.8 meters (or 5’10”) at the shoulder. (So instead of looking down on a cow, you would look up for the head and the horns.)
And since Levi is cruel, and the rabbis allegedly descent from the Levitical order, then is that why the rabbis are so perpetually cruel to Joseph? Do we need to drop another Nachmanides marker here?
The Talmudic dream
Is this why the Orthodox rabbis seek to destroy all of Joseph’s men, so they can bugger all of Joseph’s women and babies? Or why else is the rabbinic Levitical Talmud so terribly cruel to Joseph?
“Rava said that this is what the Mishna is saying: An adult man who engaged in intercourse with a minor girl less than three years old has done nothing, as intercourse with a girl less than three years old is tantamount to poking a finger into the eye.”
[Talmud Tractate Ketubot 11b, Sefaria]
Talmud Tractate Sanhedrin 58b (or the backside of page 58) tells us that Joseph may not have a shabbat.
“And Reish Lakish says: A gentile [because according to Talmudic perspective, there is no Joesph, only Judah] who observed Shabbat is liable to receive the death penalty, as it is stated: “And day and night shall not cease” (Genesis 8:23), which literally means: And day and night they shall not rest.”
[Talmudic Tractate Sanhedrin 58b, Sefaria]
In other words, “Woo-hoo! Work them Josephites to death! Yeah, buddy!”)
“This is interpreted homiletically [figuratively] to mean that the descendants of Noah may not take a day of rest.”
[Talmudic Tractate Sanhedrin 58b, Sefaria]
Meaning, the Levite rabbis dream of working Joseph to death. And they want us to know that we are supposed to worship them while they are working us to death. (But be a good little Josephite slave, and know that this is not cruel!)
Rabbi Richman, have you ever thought about reading the Tanach of Elohim, instead of your made-up son-of-Tamar pipe dreams? Let us look at what you read.
“And the Master said (57a) that their prohibition is their death penalty, i.e., the punishment for any prohibition with regard to descendants of Noah is execution.”
[Talmud Tractate Sanhedrin 58b, Sefaria]
In other words, if you do not want to throw away your Tanach and worship the Talmud, and follow their Bnai Noach slavery program, the penalty is execution. So, if Joseph wants to obey the Tanach and take a Sabbath, the ever-so-humble rabbis who say they “die daily” for us (and who pray for our deaths three times each day), want to kill us all so that they can have our women and children.
And it is the kind of thing Joseph wishes was a joke. But it is not. Because this is really the cruelty that the Levites want for Joseph.
“Ravina says: if a Josephite gentile descendant of Noach observes a day of rest on any day of the week [meaning especially Shabbat for Joseph, but also Sunday for Esav, or Friday for Ishmael], even if they do not normally set aside a day for religious worship, e.g., on a Monday, he is liable [to die].”
[Talmud Tractate Sanhedrin 58b, Sefaria]
In other words, no religious day of rest unless you deny the Tanach, and convert to the Talmud! Judah’s and Levi’s Isaiah 30:1 plan in Talmud Tractate Auschwitz is simply to work Joseph to death. And then take Joseph’s women and children, and then do what-ever he feels like doing to them.
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 30:1
1 “Woe to the rebellious children,” says Yahweh, “Who take counsel, but not of Me, and who devise plans, but not of My Spirit, that they may add sin to sin;”
And this has been the great Talmudic dream for at least 1,800 years, (and probably much longer)! And the curse has been around for almost 2,000 years!
Consequences for forsaking Yahweh
Everyone knows. For each and every action, you get an equal but opposite reaction. So, Levi is cruel, and Judah curses Joseph three times a day for almost 2,000 years, and then he is surprised at the Holocaust? He is surprised when Elohim sends negative energy back??
Hello??? Knock knock?
How do you know that your Birkat HaMinim is not what caused your Holocaust? How do you know that immortalizing the same spirit that got you sent into the Roman exile in the first place is not what caused the Holocaust??
“For the apostates [meaning anyone who has left Orthodox Judaism, such as Yeshua (or Jesus), and everyone who follows Him] let there be no hope! And uproot the kingdom of arrogance speedily and in our days! May the Nazarenes and [all] the [other] sectarians [or the other “minim”] perish, as in a moment! Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, and not be written together with the righteous! You are praised, O Adonai, who subdues the arrogant!”
[Wikipedia, Jerusalem Talmud-Birkat haMinim]
Instead of ‘Yad Vashem’, why don’t you call it, ‘Yad HaSpiritual Boomerang Effect of Talmud Tractate Berakhot 28b-29a’?
We will admit that it does not roll off the tongue as well, but it would be more accurate. And then maybe someone in Levi might learn something?
According to the Kol Hator prophecy, the rabbis have known who Joseph is for at least 200 years. And they believe it enough to hijack my pc (and my life). How do you not get that Yahweh does not like it when you break his commandments at Genesis 12:3?
B’reisheet (Genesis) 12:3
3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Rabbi Breitowitz lets us know that “The Ramban writes that Christianity was a useful transition to take people away from paganism, and toward a monotheist belief in God.”
Joseph’s transition
So, according to the Ramban, even though Orthodox Judaism considers Christianity to be false and perverted, at least it took people out of the paganism row.
[“Christianity was a useful transition” Rabbi Breitowitz]
We are transitioning, and you know it takes three to four generations to change DNA. But still you want to kill or enslave us, right?
Joseph wants only good things for Judah, but do you expect to plant hatred, and reap love? You are surprised by the boomerang effect?
You have never heard, “What goes around, (eventually) comes back around”? You have never heard, “As you sow or plant, so shall you reap or harvest”? You have never heard of “Chickens coming home to roost”?
Shemuel Bet (2 Samuel) 22:26-27
26 “With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; with a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless;
27 With the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd.”
(Do you guys learn?)
Attack on Joseph
For Joseph, the ArtScroll Stone Edition Tanach series is very instructive. (It is what they use in all the American yeshivot.) They have an expanded two-volume Genesis that anthologizes all the commentary in the appropriate places. Meaning, they append the notes from Talmud tractates wherever they apply, and then they sell it to the public.
And Joseph finds such anthologies very helpful in understanding the mindset of a brother who pretends to follow the Tanach, while secretly he is practicing the mystery Babylonian arts of sex-magick, pedophilia, incest, and cruel fratricide. It is blood-sugar-sex-magick all dressed up to mimic Scripture.
In the ArtScroll anthology we find this big drash that reads like a Sherlock Holmes Whodunit. (And you can find it on Sefaria also, but here it is all in one place.) And amazingly, the rabbis pin the blame on Shimon and Levi, even though the rabbinical order descends from Levi. So, that was encouraging.
(“Confess your sins, one to another, that you might pray for one another”, nu?)
“Although the Torah does not specifically mention that Shimon and Levi instigated the plot against Joseph, it is clear that the passage in Genesis 37:19, “and they said man to his brother… ‘so now, let us kill him’ can refer only to Shimon and Levi.” It could not refer to Reuven or Yehudah, since they were opposed to slaying Joseph.”
[ArtScroll Stone Editon Chumash]
Okay, now, that is not proven. And you do not need to be autistic to spot that assumption. We agree that Reuven would be unlikely to kill Joseph (because he was friendly). However, from what we read, Judah was only opposed because there was more money in selling us.
Or else, why does the kingship office with the prime minister and the Knesset consent to let the southern house curse Joseph three times each weekday, and ask Elohim for our deaths, even though you have known who we are for at least the past 200 years? (And probably all the way back to Rehavam.)
Let us check the reference and verify everything.
B’reisheet (Genesis) 37:19-20a
19 Then they said to one another, “Look, this dreaming prophet Joseph is coming!” [“And you know how we hate prophets!”]
20a “Come therefore, now let us kill him and cast him into some pit.”
[“And we shall be Hollywood scriptwriters and say, ‘Oh! Poor Joseph! Oh! Boo hoo! Some wild beast has devoured him! Sniff! Sniff!’”]
“We shall see what will become of his dreams!”
So, now there is no more Joseph, and no other tribes, because everything today is the house of Judah and Levi, right?
B’reisheet (Genesis) 37:20b
20b “We shall see what will become of his dreams!”“Then we shall see what will become of the prophetic dreams that Elohim gave him, that Elohim would use him to save our lives! That evil Joseph, trying to save our lives! Kill him! Take his women and children!”
Or how does rabbi Chaim Richman explain the Birkat HaMinim?
“For the apostates [meaning anyone who has left Orthodox Judaism, such as Yeshua (or Jesus), and everyone who follows Him] let there be no hope! And uproot the kingdom of arrogance speedily and in our days! May the Nazarenes and [all] the [other] sectarians [or the other “minim”] perish, as in a moment! Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, and not be written together with the righteous! You are praised, O Adonai, who subdues the arrogant!”
[Wikipedia, Jerusalem Talmud-Birkat haMinim]
Joseph’s symbol: the re’im, aurochs ox
Okay, coming back to the written Torah.
B’reisheet (Genesis) 49:6
6 “Let not my soul enter their council; let not my honor be united to their assembly [like they propose in Noachide Kiruvistan]; for in their anger they slew a man [and indeed, a whole village!], and in their self-will [meaning their rebellion against the Spirit] they hamstrung an ox.”
And Joseph is thinking, “an ox?” “You do not mean Joseph, do you?” Because Joseph’s symbol was the re’im, the giant aurochs ox that stood about 1.8 meters (or 5’10”) tall at the shoulder. Most men’s eyeballs would be staring at his shoulder (and then you look up to see the head).
And we check the ArtScroll anthology, and we find that yes! The ArtScroll anthology for Genesis 49:7 reads, “And at their whim, they maimed an ox.” In other words, they sought to disable Joseph, who is figuratively likened to an ox in Deuteronomy 33:17.
Devarim (Deuteronomy) 33:17
17 “His [Joseph’s] glory is like a firstborn bull, and his horns like the horns of the wild ox; together with them he shall push the peoples to the ends of the earth; they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.”
Which means that the hamstringing gets blamed on Shimon, and Levi? Meaning it was the rabbis’ idea? The same as the Talmud? Should we drop another Nachmanides marker here?
Now, Judah is fourth in the line of succession. Reuven, Shimon, and Levi all disqualified themselves, so now it is Judah’s turn.
B’reisheet (Genesis) 49:8
8 “Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise; your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s children shall bow down before you.”
We will be happy to praise Judah, just as soon as you go back to the Tanach. We will gladly praise a new King Josiah. Joseph looks forward to bowing down to a righteous king like Josiah, who forces the rabbis to go back to Elohim’s words in the Tanach, and who removes Judah’s hand from Joseph’s neck.
Gad and the portion of the lawgiver
B’reisheet (Genesis) 49:10
10 “The scepter [the kingship] shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh [Mashiach] comes; and to Him shall be the obedience of the people.”
Okay, everyone agrees that “Shiloh” refers to the Mashiach. And everyone but the rabbis believes the Messiah is Jewish, right? Okay, what about the portion of the lawgiver?
The Hebrew is מְחֹקֵק, which has a root of Strong’s Hebrew #2710.
H2710
חָקַק châqaq khaw-kak’
A primitive root; properly to hack, that is, engrave (Jdg_5:14, to be a scribe simply); by implication to enact (laws being cut in stone or metal tablets in primitive times) or (generally) prescribe: – appoint, decree, governor, grave, lawgiver, note, pourtray, print, set.
The idea here is that you have a prophet (who hears what Elohim says), and then hacks it into stone. But they write only what they hear. Not whatever they think. They do not make up a bunch of books by themselves.
And when we get to Parasha Vezot HaBerakhah, we will see that the portion of the lawgiver was hidden in the tribe of Gad at the time when Shiloh (or Mashiach) came.
Devarim (Deuteronomy) 33:20-21
20 And of Gad he said: “Blessed is he who enlarges Gad; he dwells as a lion, and tears the arm and the crown of his head.
21 He provided the first part for himself, because a lawgiver’s portion was reserved [hidden] there. He came with the heads of the people; he administered the justice of Yahweh, and His judgments with Israel.”
The portion of the lawgiver was reserved (or hidden) inside Gad when Shiloh came at the end of the second temple period, just like Daniel 9 verses 25 through 26 say. And when we look it up it is the same as Strong’s Hebrew #2710.
In the Orthodox Jewish version of events (where you do not read the Tanach or think about what it says), Judah is waiting for a Jewish Shiloh messiah figure (which that part is right. The Mashiach does come from Judah, amein?)
Only, in the Orthodox Jewish version, Judah hands both the scepter and the portion of the lawgiver to the Jewish Shiloh, yes? Except, if Judah hands the portion of the lawgiver to Judah, then when is the portion of the lawgiver ever hidden in the tribe of Gad? If Orthodox Judah’s way is correct (which it is not), this can never occur. Right?
As we might expect, the Talmud says something completely off-topic.
“The lawgiver’s [in other words, Moses’] burial plot is hidden in Gad’s tribal allotment. Gad chose that area east of the Jordan river because Gad knew that Moshe would be interred there in a hidden grave, referring to Moshe’s death in Deuteronomy 34:6.”
[ArtScroll Stone Edition Chumash]
That is from Rashi, and it is like, “What?” What does that have to do with anything? Rashi says Gad chose east of the Jordan because we somehow knew Moshe would be buried there? Where do you guys get this stuff? A bunch of out of work Hollywood screenwriters?
In the written Torah, Bemidbar 32 verse 1 tells us that the children of Reuven and Gad had a very great multitude of livestock; and when they saw that the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead was a place for livestock, they liked it. And they asked Moshe, Eleazar the priest, and the leaders of the congregation that the land be given to them as a possession.
Bemidbar (Numbers) 32:1-5
1 Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of livestock; and when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, that indeed the region was a place for livestock,
2 the children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spoke to Moses, to Eleazar the priest, and to the leaders of the congregation, saying,
3 “Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Shebam, Nebo, and Beon,
4 the country which Yahweh defeated before the congregation of Israel, is a land for livestock, and your servants have livestock.”
5 Therefore they said, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Do not take us over the Jordan.”
Does the Tanach say anything at all about Gad knowing that Moshe would be buried there?
In the rest of the B’reisheet chapter 49 you have end time prophecies over the other tribes, meaning Issachar, Zevulun, Dan, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Joseph, and Benjamin. And these are end time prophecies. But the Talmud only allows for Judah, Levi, and Benjamin. Even though you know it is not true. (Which makes the rabbis and the prime minister liars.)
And I wish we had time for the Haftarah prophetic portion, but everyone says, “one hour or less”, and we could do another hour on this Torah portion alone.
Continued prayers
Next week we will begin to see how Elohim took twelve or thirteen separate tribes, and formed them into one single nation.
So, as always, please pray in earnest for kings, presidents, prime ministers, and all those who are in authority. And please pray that the rabbis will wake up and realize that the Talmud is not the word of Elohim, and that it is stopping Joseph from coming home.
And please pray fervently for Yahweh to raise up a King Josiah or a King David figure in the kingship tribe of Judah, to turn the rabbis back to Elohim’s words in the Tanach. That Judah might no longer have a false mystery-Babyonian priesthood. And that the rabbis will turn away from their Tamar-like pedophilia fantasies and their lethal hatred of Joseph that they nurture in the Talmud.
Please pray that Yahweh will open the eyes of the minority of Judah and Joseph that He wants to save, and bring them together as one nation again in His land.
See you again next week for parasha Shemote.
Shabbat shalom.
