“About Mashiach ben Yosef: is the first segment of the video series The Two Houses of Israel.
Do you know about the special relationship that has existed between the Christians and Jews from literally all the way back to the days of the patriarchs, even before there were Christians? And would you like to know who is this mysterious shadowy figure that appears in Orthodox Judaism called mashiach ben Yosef (or messiah, Son of Joseph)?
Would you like to know how this special ancient relationship between the Christians and Jews, coupled with our Jewish brethren’s desire to see their mashiach ben Yosef figure, affects the end-time headlines that we see today?
Join us in this study as we talk about mashiach ben Yosef. We will talk about who he is, what he wants, and how to protect you and your family from losing your crowns.
Hitgalut (Revelation) 3:11
11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
The Mystery of the Two Houses
Before we can understand who Mashiach ben Yosef is, how he affects the special relationship between the Christians and Jews, and how he affects end-time events, first we need to understand what is called The Mystery of the Two Houses.
If you have not had the time to read the Nazarene Israel study I encourage you to please read it, study it, and understand it. In this study, we explain that the Christians and Jews are essentially estranged brothers in the Abrahamic covenant.
We also recommend reading Revelation and the End Times. In this study, we explain how, after Armageddon, our Orthodox Jewish brothers will finally accept Yeshua as their Messiah. And at this same time, the Christians are also going to realize that they are the spiritual (if not also the literal) descendants of the lost 10 tribes of Israel. At which point the Christians are going to revert and come back to the original first-century Christian-Jewish faith which is Nazareth Israel, which is a Jewish (or Israelite) form of worship.
Jehudah (Jude) 1:3
3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
Lost Sheep of the House of Israel
In this segment, we will explain why it is that the Jews of the southern house of Judah did not believe on Yeshua when He came the first time. We will examine the prophetic significance of the name Yosef, and how this prophecy relates to the house of Ephraim (the northern house of Israel), and the lost ten tribes, and the purpose of Messiah Yeshua’s first coming.
Mattityahu (Matthew) 15:24
24 But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
[The house of Ephraim, or the house of Joseph (Yosef)].
Rabbinic concept of two human Messiahs
In the second half of this study, we will explain the rabbinic concept of two human Messiahs. We will see how the rabbinic concept differs from the Nazarene Israel concept of a divine Messiah, and we will look at the details of these two human messiahs.
- Mashiach ben Yosef (Messiah the son of Joseph) – first human messiah according to rabbinic concept.
- Mashiach ben David (Messiah the son of David) – second human messiah according to rabbinic concept.
Who is mashiach ben Yosef?
We will examine the definition of mashiach ben Yosef, and how Jewish eschatology defines mashaich ben Yosef as a “Jewish messiah from the tribe of Ephraim and a descendant of Joseph“. We will see:
- It is impossible to have a Jewish messiah from the tribe of Ephraim, a descendant of Joseph.
- Some Jewish sects believe that a Christian man (mashiach ben Yosef) will convert to Orthodox Judiasm.
- The concept of mashiach ben Yosef is that he will convince all other Christians to also convert to Orthodox Judaism.
- Those converting to Orthodox Judaism are required to give up Yeshua (whom they see as an idol) upon conversion.
Mashiach ben Joseph (Wikipedia)
In Jewish eschatology [Jewish end time interpretation of prophecy] Mashiach ben Yoseph or Messiah ben Joseph (Hebrew: משיח בן־יוסף Mašīaḥ ben Yōsēf), also known as Mashiach bar/ben Ephraim
(Aram./Heb.: משיח בר/בן אפרים), (is a Jewish messiah from the tribe of Ephraim and a descendant of Joseph. [1] The figure’s origins are much debated. Some regard it as a rabbinic invention, but others defend the view that its origins are in the Torah. [2]
Messiah Yeshua vs anti-messiah
We will talk about:
- How Messiah Yeshua is the only one to fulfill prophetic events pertaining to the Messiah.
- Why all Hebrew Roots believers need to be aware of and understand the false prophecy of mashiach ben Yosef.
- How the Orthodox rabbis are looking for this character (their false messiah), and they are hoping to find him within the Hebrew Roots movement.
- How the Orthodox Jewish Sanhedrin contacted me (Norman B. Willis) in 2016 beause they believed that I was their mashaich ben Yosef character! (Farther forbid!)
- While they believe that certain Christians coming back to the nation of Israel because of their faith in Yeshua, they expect us to drop Yeshua as an idol before we come back in the door.
