Shemini Atzeret 5784 (2024). Happy 8th Day Assembly!

Shemini Atzeret 5784 (2024) gives an overview of how The Eighth Day foreshadows prophecy and end-time events, how these prophecies correspond with a 7-day week, the Shabbat, and the eighth day, and the parallels to Yeshua’s brith and the eighth day circumcision.

Join us as we discuss how the seventh month feast parallel the 7-year Great Tribulation period, Armageddon, the Ingathering, Yeshua’s millennim kingdom, and then the final judgment upon earth and the new earth to come.

We also answer some of the top questions from our viewers from the previous week.

Torah Calendar questions

Several of our viewers are joining in for the first time during this year’s feasts of the seventh month. And many have questions concerning the Torah Calendar and why it is different from other calendars. In this study we answer this question from one of our viewers:

Question: “I have October 16th-24th written on my calendar for Sukkot. Did I get it wrong?”

Great question! Orthodox Judaism follows the Hillel II calendar (which even they admit is not the calendar in Torah). Our studies focus on what Yahweh commands for His calendar year.

Orthodox Hillel II calendar, Jewish Calendar, feasts, sukkot, tabernacles, non-Torah cleander, calendar errors

We will discuss some of the top errors of the Hillel II Calendar and the Karaite/Messianic calendars, and why Nazarene Israel follows the Torah Calendar (also called The Firstfruits Calendar), the correct definitions of aviv barley, and why those in the body of Yeshua should avoid anti-Yeshua doctrines and those calendars based upon them.

Shemini Atzeret 5784

In Shemini Atzeret, we explain that the Eighth Day Assembly is a set-apart gathering (or convocation/assembly). The Hebrew term is מִקְרָא (miqra), and is a rehearsal for something. We will explain what we are rehearsing, the significance of Shemini Atzeret, and why it is important to continue Yahweh’s set-apart rehearsals for end-time events.

Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:36
36 “For seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh. On the eighth day you shall have a set-apart gathering, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh. It is a set-apart assembly (עֲצֶרֶת), and you shall do no customary work on it.”

OT:4744 miqra‘ (mik-raw’); from OT:7121; something called out, i.e. a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal:
KJV – assembly, calling, convocation, [public] reading.

Colossians 2:16-17 CLAUSES RE-ORDERED
A1. Let no man C. But the body of Messiah
A2. therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon [gatherings], or of the Sabbath:
B. (Which are a shadow of
things to come).

Examination of “shemini” (eight) “atzeret” (assembly)

שְּׁמִינִי
OT:8066 shemiyniy (shem-ee-nee’);
from OT:8083; eight:
KJV – eight.

‎עֲצֶֽרֶת
OT:6116 `atsarah or `atsereth;
from OT:6113; an assembly,
especially on a [feast] or holiday:

עצר
OT:6113 `atsar (עצר): a primitive root;
to enclose [hut]; by analogy, to hold back;
also to maintain, rule, assemble:

Yahweh’s timeframe of events

We also explain the parallels between the feasts of Yahweh, end-time prophecy, and the return of HaMashiach Yeshua.

Yom Teruah = The Groom is coming for His bride.
Yom Kippur = The Groom comes around midnight (in tradition). There may be war.
Sukkot = Consummation and the Wedding Week.
Shemini Atzeret = “Holding over” or “stretching out” the honeymoon week.

We will see how the feasts correspond to prophecy in the book of Revelation and end-time events, including the Great Tribulation, Armageddon, the Ingathering home, the Millennium kingdom, judgement upon earth, and the coming new earth, and how Shemini Atzeret represents ‘a tarry’ period after the Millennium regin.

B’reisheet (Genesis) 1:1
1 In [a] beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth.

B’reisheet (Genesis) 2:2
2 And on the seventh day Elohim ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day
from all His work which He had done.

Kepha Bet (2nd Peter) 3:8
8 But beloved, do not forget this one thing:
that with Yahweh, one [prophetic] day is as a thousand years,
and a thousand years is as one [prophetic] day.

“Tarry” period

Hitgalut (Revelation) 20:7-8
7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison
8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle,
whose number is as
the sand of the sea.”

Saying: “Yahweh has a 7,000 Year Plan:
6,000 Years for Man, plus 1,000 Years for Yahweh.”
(Plus, a little more.)

Why the eighth day circumcision?

We will explain why Yeshua HaMashiach was born on Sukkot Aleph (the First Day of the Feast of Tabernacles), the significance of the commandment for the eighth day circumcision, and how this corresponds to the Revelation and End Time events.

Yeshua born on Sukkot 1
Luqa (Luke) 2:7
7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son,
and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths,
and laid Him in a manger (sukka),
because there was no room
for them in the inn.

Vayiqra (Leviticus) 12:3
3 “And on the eighth day, the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.”

Luqa (Luke) 1:59
59  So it was, on the eighth day, that they came to circumcise the child; and they would have called him by the name of his father, Zachariah.

Specifically, we will how the Eighth Day prophecy parallels the tarry period leading up to “The Day of Yahweh”, when the earth is burnt up and those on earth at that time are gathered home for judgment.

Vayiqra (Leviticus) 22:27
27 “When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall be seven days with its mother; and from the eighth day and thereafter it shall be accepted as an offering made by fire to Yahweh.
[Earth burned up on the 8th day.]

Kepha Bet (2 Peter) 3:10
10 But the day of Yahweh will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it
will be burned up.

Correspondence between first and seventh month feasts

We will explain how the first and seventh month feast correspond, and further discuss the prophetic correlation.

Aviv 1: (Rosh HaShanah, the Head of the Hebrew year)
We physically sight the aviv barley and the new moon (the exact time is not known beforehand.) This begins the Hebrew year.

Yom Teruah: (The Head of the seventh month)
Watch and be ready for the Bridegroom.

Mattityahu (Matthew) 25:13,
13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.”

Aviv 10: (10th day of first Hebrew month)
Pesach lamb is chosen.
In five days, Israel will be freed from bondage

Yom Kippur (10th day of seventh Hebrew month):
Two zugot sacrificial goats are chosen (one for Yahweh, one for Azazel/Satan).(This is “substitution sacrifice” or “vicarious atonement”.)
In a Jubilee year, slaves are released, and property returns to its owners.
The Earth returns to Yahweh when it is burned up.

Aviv 15
: (The 15th day of the first Hebrew year)
Israel is freed from bondage in Egypt (world).
Aviv 14/15: The Pesach lamb dies. (Yeshua dies.)

Sukkot Aleph (15th day of the seventh Hebrew month):
Israel dwells in covenant relationship with Elohim in sukkot.
Yeshua is born.

Shemini Azeret (22nd day of the seventh Hebrew month):
Yeshua is circumcised (given to Yahweh).
Israel will also be given to Yahweh when the earth is burned up.
