Shabbat shalom, Nazarenes,
Torah Calendar news: 6 April 5784/2024
6 April 5784/2024 is the 1st Sabbath in the count of 7 Shabbatot and the 50-day count from Yom HaNafat HaOmer up to Shavuot (Pentecost).
Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:15-16
15 ‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering [Yom HaNafat HaOmer]: seven Sabbaths shall be completed.
16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to Yahweh.
Shavuot (Pentecost): 19 May 2024 (begins evening prior)
Yom HaNafat HaOmer was on 31 March 5784/2024. Yom HaNafat HaOmer begins the 50-day count up to Shavuot (Pentecost). Shavout 2024 is on 19 May 2024 (beginning the evening prior).
In the Ancient Hebrew Wedding ceremony, Shavuot corresponds with the erusin stage (or the Public Betrothal). This is when the engagement between Yeshua and His bride is formally announced (and thus becomes lawfully binding).
