Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 40:3
3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of Yahweh; Make straight in the desert A highway for our Elohim.”

a. Weekly studies:
Parasha Shelach: Mission of the Sent Ones!
“Parasha Shelach 5785 (2024): Mission of the Sent Ones” explains what it means to “prepare the way” before Yahweh. The lesson throughout this parasha is the mission that Yahweh’s servants are given, and the type of attitude of submission, obedience, and faithful servitude that Yahweh wants from His people.
The Torah portion explains what it means to be a shelach (or a sent one) of Yahweh, the need to be set-apart unto Him and submitted to His Spirit, and what happens when Elohim’s people rise up and complain against Him. It also explains about the error of dying tzitzit with dye from the Hexaplex Trunculus Sean snail, which is an abominable creature according to Yahweh’s written Torah (Vayiqra (Leviticus) 11:10-11).
The Haftarah portion focuses on Israel spying out the Land under the leadership of Yehoshua (Joshua) the son of Nun, and how Rahab, (a woman of the enemy) submitted to Yahweh’s will and helped Israel.
And the Brit Chadasha portion speaks further about being a shelach of Yahweh, the mission of Yeshua HaMashiaach and His disciples in the first century, and the prophetic mission of the house of Joseph for bringing back the lost Abrahamic sparks scattered throughout the nations.
We will also answer a question from a viewer from the previous study about why it is necessary for Yahweh’s servants to rebuke false doctrine and to preach to both houses, including the house of Judah.
As we listen to this week’s study, let us examine ourselves faitfhully. Are we making His path straight like one of His ‘sent ones’? Or are repeating our ancestors’ mistakes by having a wrong attitude, which caused our ancestors to be put outside the land? May Yahweh Elohim please help us to have the right attitude of loving obedience.

3. SABBATHS, NEW MOONS, AND CALENDAR EVENTS:
a. Feasts of Yahweh:
11 March 2024 was Rosh HaShanah (the beginning of the Hebrew year). The new moon of the 7th Hebrew month was seen from Israel on the evening of 4 September 2024. Yahweh’s feasts are officially over for the year. For more information about the Torah Calendar and news calendar updates, please visit Torah Calendar News 2024.
b. New Moon 10th Hebrew Month (expected): 2 or 3 December 2024 (evening)
The new moon of the 10th Hebrew month is expected to be visible from Israel on either 2 or 3 December 2024. Confirmation will be made upon the sighting of the new moon (or the 30-day default count) as the new month approaches.
c. Upcoming Discipleship Meetings:
All meetings are at 8 AM Colombian time (always UTC-5, but watch your Daylight Savings Time adjustments). The Discipleship Meeting is a discussion between disciples. It is generally 1-hour long but may run longer depending on how the Spirit leads. For more on NI’s description of discipleship, please see NI’s Discipleship program.
3 or 4 December 2024- new moon discipleship meeting (expected)
Note: If the monthly Discipleship Meeting coincides with the weekly Shabbat Meeting, the Shabbat Meeting will take precedence, and new moon discussion will be combined with the Shabbat meeting. However, in the case of a Feast Day Meeting coinciding with a Shabbat meeting, the Feast Day Meeting will take precedence.
d. Why the FirstFruits Torah Calendar?
Every year we receive questions about the Firstfruits Torah calendar and why it differs from Karaite, Jewish, and Messianic, and Equinox calendars. The different calendars that exist can (and do) cause a lot of confusion. But if we follow Scripture without adding or taking away from Yahweh’s word, we see that there are significant errors in the Karaite, Jewish, Messianic, and Equinox calendars.
We explain these errors in the following studies, as well as why it is important to follow the true Firstfruits Torah calendar in order to observe Yahweh’s feasts at His appointed times only.
Note: Some published studies may include dates for Babylonian calendars (5785/2024). It should be noted that neither the Hillel II Jewish calendar, nor the Roman-Greco calendar are the biblical Torah calendar of Yahweh, and that NI only updates these years for publishing and relational purposes. While the Babylonian years change accordingly, NI keeps the biblical Rosh HaShanah (new year) according to the Torah Calendar.
