1. PRAISE REPORTS, PRAYER REQUESTS, UPDATES: 20 December 5785 (2024)
a. Our flesh vs. Yahweh’s voice
It is that time of year when many believers in Yeshua HaMashiach celebrate Christmas. And when confronted with biblical reasons for not celebrating Christmas, many Christians will respond by saying “God [Yahweh] knows my heart”. The problem is, Scripture tells us that our hearts are deceiful above all things, and that our flesh has wicked intentions.
Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 17:9
9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
Each week, we talk about why it is wrong to follow the desires of our flesh, doing what seems good and right in our own eyes. And why we must submit to hearing and obeying Yahweh’s voice if we want to be in His good favor.
Some subscribers are new to the Original Faith that Yeshua and His disciples kept. Other subscribers may be helping others understand the need to keep the Original first-century Faith as stated in Jude 3. Wherever you are in your walk, we hope you will find the following studies helpful in explaining why man-made tradtions go against Yahweh’s word, and why it is important to worship Yahweh the way He says to worship Him, and not in any other way. We pray that it is helpful for those striving to hear and obey His voice in all things.

2. STUDIES:
a. Parasha Devarim:
“Parasha Devarim 5785 (2024): From Eden to the End!“ recaps biblical history from the Garden of Eden to the End-times. It explains the goal Yahweh Elohim has for mankind; the promises given to Abraham and his seed; Israel’s successes and failures throughout history, and what Yahweh still wants from His people.
It also explains prophetic events concerning Esau, the two houses of Judah and Israel, and Cousin Ishmael; where we currently are in end-time prophecies; and end-time prophecies still to come, including WW3 (sixth seal), the Great Tribulation, and Armageddon (Gog 1, or the Wedding Feast).

3. SABBATHS, NEW MOONS, AND CALENDAR EVENTS:
a. Feasts of Yahweh:
11 March 2024 was Rosh HaShanah (the beginning of the Hebrew year). The new moon of the 7th Hebrew month was seen from Israel on the evening of 4 September 2024. Yahweh’s feasts are officially over for the year. For more information about the Torah Calendar and news calendar updates, please visit Torah Calendar News 2024.
b. New Moon 11th Hebrew Month (expected): 1 January 2025 2024 (evening)
The new moon of the 11th Hebrew month is expected to be visible from Israel on 1 January 2025. Confirmation will be made upon the sighting of the new moon (or the 30-day default count) as the new month approaches.
c. Upcoming Discipleship Meetings:
All meetings are at 8 AM Colombian time (always UTC-5, but watch your Daylight Savings Time adjustments). The Discipleship Meeting is a discussion between disciples. It is generally 1-hour long but may run longer depending on how the Spirit leads. For more on NI’s description of discipleship, please see NI’s Discipleship program.
2 January 2025- new moon discipleship meeting (expected)
Note: If the monthly Discipleship Meeting coincides with the weekly Shabbat Meeting, the Shabbat Meeting will take precedence, and new moon discussion will be combined with the Shabbat meeting. However, in the case of a Feast Day Meeting coinciding with a Shabbat meeting, the Feast Day Meeting will take precedence.
d. Why the FirstFruits Torah Calendar?
Every year we receive questions about the Firstfruits Torah calendar and why it differs from Karaite, Jewish, and Messianic, and Equinox calendars. The different calendars that exist can (and do) cause a lot of confusion. But if we follow Scripture without adding or taking away from Yahweh’s word, we see that there are significant errors in the Karaite, Jewish, Messianic, and Equinox calendars.
We explain these errors in the following studies, as well as why it is important to follow the true Firstfruits Torah calendar in order to observe Yahweh’s feasts at His appointed times only.
Note: Some published studies may include dates for Babylonian calendars (5785/2024). It should be noted that neither the Hillel II Jewish calendar, nor the Roman-Greco calendar are the biblical Torah calendar of Yahweh, and that NI only updates these years for publishing and relational purposes. While the Babylonian years change accordingly, NI keeps the biblical Rosh HaShanah (new year) according to the Torah Calendar.
