My name is Moisés Pérez, I was born in Chile in 1983, in the city of Linares. Currently married to Herta Vidal with whom we have 2 beautiful children (Javiera and Ariel).

There I grew up in an evangelical Christian family, where my mother was the main source of bringing us closer to Elohim and who always insisted that the whole family go to church and not stray from Elohim, and this for as long as I can remember as a child.

There in the church I grew up learning about Elohim (God) and Yeshua (Jesus). In the church, there in Linares, I always tried to do my best to learn and to please Elohim in the church and to participate as much as possible there, as a child and then as a normal teenager.

Then when I went to study at the university in another city I continued in the evangelical church where the disappointments of the evangelical Christian faith began as they started asking me questions, while participating in music and more than that.  In the beginning we had a pastor who committed adultery, and swindled me out of a lot of money (while I was a student), which continued to disappoint me of the incongruity of the evangelical Christian faith.  This led me to stay away from that Christian church for a while.  But because of the fear of Elohim, and taking into account the text that we should not stop congregating, some time later I returned to the same church in 2007, where I met Herta Vidal, who would become my wife.

There in the return to the church there was a very good pastor, where we felt very comfortable with the church and the doctrine, working in the church in the music group and then also as teachers in the Sunday school.

But when that pastor retired, another pastor came along, during which time Elohim (which at this time I called God or Lord) began to starve me spiritually, and I began, along with my wife, to study the word of Elohim with one premise in mind, which was “maybe I could be wrong”.  This made me begin to search the Scriptures, as they were written, and this made me realise that God’s law (Torah) was never nailed to the cross, in the meaning that the church teaches, but it was the record of decrees that was against me, i.e. my sins, and not the law. I also saw that Yeshua himself said “that He did not come to annul the law but to fulfil it” and that to fulfil in His words does not mean to annul, as they taught in the Christian church, so I continued to study and search the Scriptures. And in the same way I learned the name of Elohim, Yahweh, and the true name of Jesus, which is Yeshua, and that He does not like us to use Lord as if it were His own name.

At that time, we were expecting our daughter (Javiera) when Yahweh began to show me in visions in dreams the way forward.  And with this in mind we began to teach the children in our Sunday school class, the true narrative of the bible to the children, chronologically. And when we got to the 10 commandments, the pastor and deacons of the church (I was also a deacon in the church at this time) began to have problems with this, as I was teaching them that we must keep the commandments of Yahweh (I only taught the 10 commandments and nothing else) and just because of this the church began to remove us from church activities, and try to control us from speaking out.

After a while my wife and I left the church, and we began to look for a congregation.  There we started with some brothers to study the bible in the houses on Shabbat, and that seemed good to me at first, but we were looking for a congregation where we could fulfil the Great Commission of our Messiah. And after finding some that didn’t seem right to the Spirit, we found Nazarene Israel.

We began to study the books, and realized that this was the right vision, to work in unity, as one with Yeshua to fulfil the great commission in the way of the unity of the two Houses of Israel (Ephraim and Judah) into one again.

Here with my wife we began tithing our time in Spanish translations of the books of Nazarene Israel, and eventually Yahweh Himself sent some brothers to give the funding so that we could, as a family, work full time in the work of Yahweh. And from this point, thanks be to Elohim, that we are doing, along with my wife, all that is in our abilities for the work of Yahweh in Nazarene Israel to carry on in Yahweh’s Name until the return of our Master and Shepherd Messiah Yeshua.

We thank Yahweh every day as a family for finding the right faith, in which we can walk daily with Him in this little flock.
