Video Interview: Becca Biderman’s Barley Field Confirmed. 24 December 2020

This interview discussion on Becca Biderman’s barley field is a discussion between myself (Norman Willis, priesthood and head apostle of Nazarene Israel) and barley inspector Becca Biderman. The purpose of this interview is to confirm that the barley in Becca Biderman‘s barley field (near Poriya Illit, Israel 24 December 2020) is aviv barley. And to explain why we find other claims, such as the conflicting claim by Devorah’s Date Tree, to be inaccurate.

Barley wars

Every year there is a big commotion among the barley/calendar groups as to when to declare Rosh HaShanah. And as the priesthood of Nazarene Israel and the head apostle, it is my responsibility to qualify the witness to the barley and the new moon,  so that we know when to declare Rosh HaShanah (the head of the year) for the people.

As of 2020, we know of 5 groups of barley witnesses in the land of Israel. Each of these barley witnesses has different criteria for how to declare Rosh HaShanah. We will explain why barley witness Becca Biderman is the only barley witness (that we know of at this time) who gives an accurate inspection of the barley from the land of Israel.

Qualifying barley as aviv

We have seen in other studies that, according to Shemote (Exodus) 9:31 and Shemote (Exodus), it is necessary to have aviv barley by the day of the Wave Sheaf Offering (Yom HaNafat HaOmer) in order to declare the new moon of that month as the head of the year (Rosh HaShanah). One thing we find is that several barley witnesses in the land of Israel have the wrong definition of what aviv barley is. We will explain how to correctly define the term aviv. And how many of the barley witnesses in Israel have a wrong definition of aviv barley, which causes them to declare Rosh HaShanah at an incorrect time.

OT:24 ‘abiyb (aw-beeb’); from an unused root (meaning to be tender); green, i.e. a young ear of grain; hence, the name of the month Abib or Nisan:

Offering the firstfruits of barley

We will also explain that, according to Scripture, it is necessary to give Yahweh the true firstfruits of barley on Yom HaNafat HaOmer (The Day of the Wave Sheaf Offering). And what it means that the firstfruits of barley must be ‘parchable’ green heads of grain. We will show that many of the barley witnesses forsake Yahweh’s firstfruits and offer a random wave sheaf offering from the middle of the harvest. And we will explain why Nazarene Israel cannot qualify these barley witnesses.

Vayiqra (Leviticus) 2:14-15
14 “Also when you bring an offering of firstfruits [בִּכּוּרִים] to Yahweh, you shall bring green heads of grain [אָבִיב קָלוּי] parched in the fire, [and/or] crushed carmel [גֶּרֶשׂ כַּרְמֶל] shall you offer for your firstfruits offering.
15 And you shall put oil on it, and lay frankincense on it. It is a grain offering.”

OT:1061 bikkuwr (bik-koor’); from OT:1069; the first-fruits of the crop:
KJV – first fruit (-ripe [figuratively]), hasty fruit.

OT:1069 bakar (baw-kar’); a primitive root; properly, to burst the womb, i.e. (causatively) bear or make early fruit (of woman or tree); also (as denominative from OT:1061) to give the birthright:
KJV – make firstborn, be firstling, bring forth first child (new fruit).

Becca Biderman’s barley field: 24 December 2020

There are several barley witnesses in the land of Israel. However, each of these groups have different definitions and different criteria on how to declare Rosh HaShanah. While we would prefer to have at least 2 or 3 barley witnesses in the land of Israel, we only know of one barley witness at this time who gives an accurate barley witness. We will explain how we know that Becca Biderman’s barley field has confirmed aviv barley in this video.
