In this 7-part Video Series, we explain how Scripture says to establish the head of the year. The key is to offer the very first available sheaf of aviv (medium dough) barley on the day of the Wave Sheaf Offering, 15-21 days after the first crescent sliver of the new moon is seen from the land of Israel. We should NOT take this sheaf of firstfruits from the main harvest! (Because the main harvest is NOT the firstfruits!)
