Nebuchadnezzar’s Broken Statue

In Daniel Chapter 2, King Nebuchadnezzar dreamed of a statue set up on the earth which represented a series of five earthly empires: Babylon, Medea-Persia, Greece (Macedonia), Rome, and then a strong-fragile Roman-Islamic beast. In the days of these kingdoms the Elohim of heaven would set up Yeshua’s empire, which would ultimately destroy this Babylonian empire—and then it would stand forever. And this is our job.

Daniel 2:37-44
37 “You, O king, are a king of kings. For the Elohim of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory;
38 and wherever the children of men dwell, or the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven, He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all — you are this head of gold [i.e., Babylon, but also rabbinic Judah].
39 But after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours [Medea-Persia]; then another, a third kingdom of bronze [Greece-later-Islam], which shall rule over all the earth [Middle East].
40 And the fourth kingdom [Esau-Rome] shall be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others.
41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron [Esau-Rome] mixed with ceramic clay [Ishmael-Islam].
42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the [Roman-Islamic] kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile.
43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron [Rome] does not mix with clay [Islam].
44 And in the days of these kings the Elohim of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed [i.e., Nazarene Israel]; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”

Do we understand that it is our job to organize so well that we can break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms? And what does that require of us? And what blessings and rewards will that ultimately yield for our children?

In Revelation and the End Times we explain that these five kingdoms all represent different manifestations (or different facets) or the same Babylonian beast system. The head of gold represents the Babylonian Empire. Yet because the head is Babylon, the rest of the empires that followed would be Babylonian in spirit.

Black Horse Judah in the head. When the Babylonians took the house of Judah into captivity in Babylon circa 586 BCE, the Jews were no longer able to obey the Torah of Moshe, because the Torah of Moshe tells the people to bring their tithes and offerings to the Levites in the temple. Without a temple, the people had nowhere to bring their tithes and offerings, and so the Levitical order soon collapsed, and the people began assimilating into the Babylonian culture. The leaders of the day had to do something to stop the assimilation, and the solution they struck upon was to establish an order of “rabbis” (great men). In this rabbinical order, the traditions of the great men of the day were held to supersede Yahweh’s commandments. This is what Yeshua protested.

Marqaus (Mark) 7:6-9
6 He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.
7 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
8 For laying aside the commandment of Elohim, you hold the tradition of men — the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.”
9 He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of Elohim, that you may keep your tradition.”

While the rabbinic system may have been appropriate while Judah was in Babylon, when he came back to the land, he should have abandoned the rabbinic system. Because he did not, the rabbinical order is still spiritually held captive in Babylon (the head). This is in keeping with Yahweh’s promise that those who obeyed His Torah would be the head, and not the tail.

Devarim (Deuteronomy) 28:13
13 “And Yahweh make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of Yahweh your Elohim, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.”

So, although Judah only keeps a rabbinic corruption of the Torah, Yahweh still puts him as the head (only, of the Babylonian Beast system).

Red Horse Esau in the torso. The red horse refers to Esau, who despised his birthright. The birthright has to do with the blessings of serving as a true servant-leader. Such things were not as important to him as food, and other bodily pleasures.

B’reisheet (Genesis) 25:34
34 And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.

Because Esau values the things of man (rather than the things of Yahweh), Esau is given to practice the worship of men, which include secular humanism, democracy, socialism, and communism. All of these effectively seek to replace the rule of Elohim with the will of man (as in the tower of Babylon).

Babylon was an absolute monarchy, but the chest and arms of silver represented Medo-Persia (Iran). The Persian Empire practiced only limited democracy, but democracy was much more widely practiced in ancient Greece, and in Rome. Thus democracy began in the torso, and continued after than into the legs and the feet of the statue, progressively weakening it over time.

White Horse Joseph/Ephraim in the legs and feet. In Revelation and the End Times we saw how the white horse represents the Patriarch Joseph, and his son Ephraim (Israel).

Joseph was sold into slavery in Egypt (representing the world). Further, the house of Israel (Ephraim) went into physical captivity in Assyria. But rather than return to the land of Israel when their time of captivity was up, they migrated north and west toward what later became protestant northwestern Europe (with the rise and fall of empires). Because Ephraim has still not yet decided to return to Yahweh, he is still in spiritual captivity in Assyria, and in Egypt (the world system).

Hoshea (Hosea) 9:3
3 They shall not dwell in Yahweh’s land, But Ephraim shall return to Egypt, And shall eat unclean things in Assyria.

In Nazarene Israel we also saw how the center of the faith migrated from Jerusalem to Rome, and how they remain under the influence of Rome to this day (in ways they do not understand). For example, many Christians firmly believe in Greco-Roman democracy, even though Scripture never advocates democracy. Because of this, even though Ephraim is technically the white horse, sometimes we call him the pink horse, because he is tainted with red horse Greco-Roman democratic ideals. (This is to differentiate him from Nazarene Israel, which seeks to be pure white horse.)

To study Babylon, we must remain aware of division, and Christianity is divided into two main groups. Western Christianity includes Roman Catholicism, Protestantism, Independent Christians, the House Church movement, and the Messianic movement (the “Messianic Mess”). In contrast, Eastern Christianity is comprised of Eastern Orthodoxy, Greek Orthodoxy, and the Coptic Church (all of which have very traditional orthodox, liturgy-based services).

Green Horse in Legs and Feet. The green horse represents our cousin Ishmael, who later adopted Islam. There are two main types of Islam, Sunni and Shia. We will see that Sunni is more closely aligned with the west, while Shia is more closely aligned with the east.

Babylonian Division, East and West “Frenemies”.

To study Babylon is to study the contradictions inherent in the concept of unity among diversity.

In the flesh, men are very selfish. Biologically speaking, men are predators (with both eyes on the front of their heads). Because man’s nature is predatorial, he will even hunt and war with other men for power, money, and privilege. It has been thus since the days of Nimrod the Great, whose capital city was Bavel (Babylon).

B’reisheet (Genesis) 10:8-10
8 Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one [elohim, ruler] on the earth.
9 He was a mighty hunter [of men] before Yahweh; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod the mighty hunter [of men] before Yahweh.
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.”

Nimrod began his kingdom in Bavel, or Babylon. The Hebrew for Bavel is Beit-Beit-Lamed (בבל). The Beit (ב) is a picture of a house, and the second Beit represents another house, while the lamed (ל) is a picture of a staff, symbolizing authority. Rather than being a single house united by a single religion (as Yahweh wants), Babylon seeks to establish a joint secular authority for multiple faiths that are not united (and not unifiable). Yeshua says this can never work, because when houses are divided (rather than unified), in the end they will fall (no matter what).

Mattityahu (Matthew) 12:25-26
25 But Yeshua knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?”

In Revelation and the End Times we saw that Babylon will fall at trumpet 7 (when the kingdom will be given to the saints). The reason that Babylon will fall is that the Babylonian system only offers a false sense of unity based on the bases red-horse desires of the flesh.

When men are held together by real religion, they can hold together even when economic factors are against them. Yet in a Red Horse Esau-Babylonian system, the only thing that unites men is the desire to band together in order to improve their lot by conquering other nations. This kind of unity only lasts while there are victims to predate upon. This does not represent a real religion, but a false one.

Religion is classically defined as “that which binds men together.” What binds men together is either the desire to serve and worship their Creator, or something else. Only, men must have joint goals, or they cannot walk together.

Amos 3:3
3 “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?”

To form a real unity, all the men must believe the same way, so they can be bound together in the same way. They must all share the same goals, so that they can all work together toward them (rather than pull apart).

If men do not have the same religious goals, the only things that will unify them is the promise of mutual gain, usually at the expense of others. This means empire, and conquest over others. This is the common unifying factor in all Babylonian-style empires.

The Babylonian system can be very successful in the short term because it brings men together in a common imperial enterprise. However, it also leaves its members being what are commonly called frenemies (i.e., friends who are also enemies). This is reflected in the saying, “(Babylonian) politics makes for strange bedfellows.” This is because Babylon needs to enfranchise various selfish groups, and the only way to unify disparate groups is to pander to selfish imperial gain. That is why countries such as the United States will war with the Muslims one year, and forge treaties and alliances with them the next. Because the system is Babylonian, it is money which is worshiped as “almighty.”

On the back of the United States’ dollar bill is a motto, “E Pluribus Unum” (or “Out of Many, One”). This concept is entirely Babylonian, because the only way to unite men without a joint religion is to teach them to focus on the common denominator of selfish fleshly gain (or Mammon).

History of Babylon. If we will look at the history of the Babylonian system, we will see it get weaker as more democracy is introduced. Nebuchadnezzar’s ancient Babylon (the head of gold) was an absolute monarchy. It was strong because it was united under a single house. Then when Babylon fell it was replaced by the Medo-Persian (Iranian) Empire, which introduced limited democracy. Democracy worked in this imperial setting because all men could agree that selfish imperial gain was what unified them.

The third empire in the series was Alexander the Great’s Macedonian (Greek) empire, represented by the belly and thighs of bronze. Democracy was widely practiced in Greek society, and therefore the ancient Greeks were imperial, because what they could agree upon was the base human desire to better their own lives (albeit at the expense of others).

The Beginnings of East-West Division. To study the history of Babylon we must remain aware of divisions, and especially the divisions between east and west.

Alexander the Great’s Macedonian Empire spread as far east as Pakistan and India. However, let us note that today all these (eastern) lands are majority Islamic.

Esau-Rome. The fourth empire in the series was Rome, symbolized by the two legs of iron. Above is an image of the Roman Empire at its height. Notice how it spreads to the east, covering some of the same territory as Alexander the Great’s empire (although not all).

Next let us notice how a profound split began to take hold between east and west. At its height, the Roman Empire had become so large that it was considered ungovernable. Therefore, in 293 CE, the Roman Emperor Diocletian split the administration of the empire in two halves, one east, and one west. These were literally known as the two “legs” of the Roman Empire. These correspond to the two legs of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream statue.

To further intensify the split between east and west, in 330 CE, the Roman Emperor Constantine moved the capital of his empire to Byzantium (in the Eastern Leg), renaming it Constantinople. Constantinople was then the new seat of the Roman Empire.

Today Constantinople is called Istanbul, in Turkey. Later we will see how Turkey is Gog, or the “roof” of the Middle East, unifying both the eastern and western legs (as if it were perhaps the statue’s crotch). Istanbul is perfectly divided into eastern and western halves. This is symbolic of the divisions between east and west that Turkey (Gog) represents.

Istanbul was also called the “Second Rome”, and when the Western Leg (the Western Roman Empire) fell, the Eastern Leg continued to enjoy Christian civilization until it was sacked by the Ottoman Muslims in 1453 CE.

The Feet of Iron and Clay. There is a long history of the Christian and Muslim worlds alternating between war and commerce. However, as time passes, the Islamic influence in the Christian world grows. This is because the two feet of iron (Roman-style Christianity) were to be infused with pockets of miry clay (Islam).

Today, the majority of the old Eastern Leg of the Roman Empire is Islamic, and Saint Petersburg (in Russia) is called the “Third Rome”. However, all of these are part of Babylon, in which all parties are both friends-and-enemies (alternating between war and trade).

Now, to understand the feet of the statue, let us look first at how the parts of the Babylonian Empire relate to each other. All four horses and all four patriarchs are represented. If we understand this, we can understand the New World Order.

In Matthew 13:33, Yeshua tells us that the kingdom of heaven is like leaven (meaning false doctrine), which a woman (meaning a religious body, perhaps Babylon) hid in three measures of meal, until all was leavened (or made sinful). In this context, the meal is ground (or denatured) seed, and it refers to the ground (denatured) seed of Avraham.

The denatured seed of Avraham includes the Jews (who practice Judaism), the Ephraimites (most of whom practice Torahless Christianity), and Ishmael (who practices Islam). Then there is also Esau, who is mainly secular, and practices man-made religions, including secular humanism, democracy, socialism, communism, and other forms of atheism and the worship of men.

While Judah, Ephraim, and Ishmael each corrupt the worship, Yahweh still loves them, because each in their own sinful way seeks to honor Him. That is, even though all three measures of meal are deceived, Yahweh still loves them, because at least they love or respect Him. However, Yahweh hates Esau, because secular Esau despised the inheritance Yahweh wanted to give Him (i.e., the kingship). Therefore, Yahweh will use these three measures of sinful religious meal both to befriend Esau (who unifies them as the torso of the statue), and ultimately to destroy secular Esau and his posterity.

Malachi 1:2-3
2 “I have loved you,” says Yahweh. “Yet you say, ‘In what way have You loved us?’ Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” Says Yahweh. “Yet Jacob I have loved;
3 But Esau I have hated, And laid waste his mountains and his heritage For the jackals of the wilderness.”

What we need to understand is that Yahweh is allowing Babylon to deceive and mislead these three measures sinful Avrahamic meal. Along with Esau, they are participating in the Babylonian New World Order plan to break down and trample (i.e., conquer) the whole earth for Yahweh (verse 40). Then after the conquest is done and there is no more selfish gain to be had, the different parts of the Babylonian model will pull themselves to pieces in what is called the Distress of Nations.

Luqa (Luke) 21:25-26
25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”

Because the various parts of Babylon are not bound together the same way, they will fall (at trumpet 7). Then the kingdom will be given to the saints (Nazarene Israel), and we will be expected to rule and reign rightly, as Yeshua’s body.

Daniel 2:40-44
40 And the fourth kingdom [Esau-Rome] shall be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others.
41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron [Esau-Rome] mixed with ceramic clay [Islam].
44 And in the days of these kings the Elohim of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed [Nazarene Israel]; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”

Yahweh is an amazingly clever military strategist, who allows Babylon to do the dirty work of breaking down the whole earth and conquering it. Then when the dirty work is done, Yahweh will cause Babylon to fall apart, and He will hand the reign to those of us who helped to establish His Son’s kingdom.

In the next chapter we will take a much closer look at the feet of the statue, in order to understand the New World Order.
